Right after I went to bed. It is not a good thing to wake up to, but likely would have wrecked my sleep if I knew. I'm just nauseous about the future.
I think the closer we get, the more Republicans are appalled by him. They might not vote at all and just stay home, but I don't think they'll vote for him. I believe Clinton's got this. It won't be a landslide (although, Jesus, it SHOULD be), but she'll win.
This I believe. I have to believe the stark raving mad are a minority.
What a horrible situation in Dallas. I'm worried about this being blamed on protesters and the President.

More and more I see echoes of the late '60s, with racial violence, political chaos, and even a youth subculture that the mainstream seems obsessed with (Millenials vs. Hippies). Fortunately there's no draft.

1960's--civil rights and Vietnam
2010's--racial violence.
I'm not up on what happened in the 1810s, other than the War of 1812. Much shit in between, of course. Perhaps the waves just intersect on a 50-year cycle.
