But that's just my point! You she obeys! She obeys you! There's obeying going on right under my nose!

Weekend has been good. Relaxing. We are in ft. Wayne, but flying out of Indianapolis.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I went to Clintonville to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday today. I'm now in Madison and will head home to Chicago tomorrow.

I just have to brag that Mason, my 13 year old son, made up a joke involving quantum entanglement.

Coding and Sleeping

I worked today after a very stressful weekend. Corporate doesn't get treated differently from store employees and since the stores are only closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas those are the only official holidays.

The Boss does not like the fireworks.

Hung out in the field to watch the bottom half of fireworks (seriously, cloud ceiling too low) with neighbors from a few blocks over west (I pass their house every sat on the way to market) who actually grew up at 3601 on my block. Funny story, G wasn't the first guy missing a foot to work accident to live there. Wonder if I should warn current residents. #neighborhoodcarrots

You should've come hung out with us in Indy, msbelle! :) the fireworks were kind of a bust though.

Don't wanna work tomorrow.

Since I have to stay home to keep the Boss company, I decided I would try a new baking challenge, and give some macarons a try.

So far so good, I think...

It is too damn early and we've already been on the road over an hour. Please let me never live further than an hour from a major airport.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Not Billytea. But as I understand it you are fined modestly for not voting. I presume the bill is mailed to you the way it is when running a red light is captured by a traffic camera in the USA. Also if you wish to not vote as a matter of principle, you can cast a blank or spoiled ballot. You only get fined for not showing up. Dunno what they do if you get sick or trapped in a collapsed tunnel or something at the last moment.

This is essentially correct, but you also have the opportunity to state your reason for not voting. There are valid reasons; for instance, I didn't vote while in the FAC for religious reasons, without being fined. (Illness or accident can also be a valid reason.) The fine is $20, or $50 for repeat offenders.

5 minutes of Testing...testing...test....test...123...test over the office emergency intercom. IT WORKS, OK.
