I just ran away from home to go cuddle the cats I'm catsitting. Not because my cats are defective, just because I'm so sick of the state the house is in and frustrated every bit of progress is failing for stupid shit.

I don't like disruption, and that's the theme of the week in every aspect of my life. Work, home, pool (storms.)

Thanks, askye.

The grocery store was sold out of corriander, because our grocery store is always sold out of something I'm looking for.

I think I'm going to go with crushed red pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, a bit of sugar, and a bit of sea salt. Then add that to some worcestershire sauce to marinade the chicken in.

I'm trying to find the right combo to suit my wife's tastes and she wasn't big on cumin or chili powder. Thyme sounds interesting to me, but I don't think she'd go for that.

I tried a couple of mixes but they weren't quite right so I need to make my own so I can tweak the flavor to get what she wants.

I hope things stabilize so you can relax.

Punishingly Intricate

I'm going to quibble and say an Amoroso roll. Also, for me, I think of cheese whiz as most authentic, though I like provolone better. And for me, though not traditional, mushrooms.

Yes, grilled onions and mushrooms are acceptable! As are hots. And either whizz or provolone.

Now I want a cheesesteak. But I'll only get them at Caprioti's and there isn't one in Bmore.

La Croix is no better than Polar Seltzer, and possibly less good.

I'm not normally a fizzy water drinker but I had a La Croix recently and it was tasty. It didn't have a weird after-taste and wasn't sweet at all like some flavored fizzy waters are. But I haven't had a Polar Seltzer so they may be just as good!

And while I'm in a tizzy, neighbor is selling this [link] I'm eh on the dressers, but my grandma had a vanity like that. I kinda love it. Will have to see how seller responds,

Oh, dag! I wish I'd known. We just sold one almost identical to that at our yard sale a couple weeks ago. I love it but don't have the right space for it.

I wanted to make the yard sale, but things have been crazy,

There's a upmarket fast-food (along the lines of Chipotle rather than Arby's) chain around these parts call PepperJax Grill that includes "American's Best Philly" on their signs. It's a lie.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

No lie, I've never heard of Cheese Whiz on a cheesesteak. I don't live in Philly, though, so maybe I've been sheltered.

I asked because I got a Philly for lunch today at an ancient local drive-in and contents of the sandwich included beef, melted cheese, a few flecks of onions and peppers, tomato, lettuce, and mayonnaise. Basically a Whopper on a really soggy bun that was falling apart. I thought it was an abomination, but then the bar & grill in Memphis where I took best friend for his birthday dinner had one on the menu with the same ingredients.

To me a Philly should be steak, cheese, grilled bell peppers, and onions if requested.
