Zoe: What's that, sir? Mal: Freedom, is what. Zoe: No, I meant what's that? Mal: Oh. Yeah. Just step around it. I think something must've been living in here.

OK, I have cabinet hardware: [link]

Yikes, it's happening!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Wow, Mike sounds really great! I kinda want to get him and Tim in a room together, I bet there would be fascinating conversations.

If Mike and Tim got together, soon there would be a trebuchet in the back yard, flinging random neatly-wrapped gifts all over the neighborhood. Mike is like a demented Santa.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

He's the Best Uncle Ever, and I can't wait to hear this story.

Wow! That's a hell of a story.

I had a gazpacho once that was basically cucumbers, olive oil, and garlic, and it was amazing. Someday I must figure out how to make that...

Maybe put those things in a blender and taste?

meara's weekend sounds good! Also yay for Amy and I forget what else.

I made it out of work by the skin of my teeth, leaving things actually undone but fuckit. My job has been super annoying this week, and now it is over!

My pulls are like those! It was very convenient for me that I never got to pick my own kitchen until what I like came back into style.

Yeah, I got those pulls and then simple round knobs for the cabinet doors. I hope it looks nice, and not too trendy, since I'll have to live with it for another 15 years or so.

I'll just be copying y'all's kitchens when the time comes, ok?

Today was a day and I missed the UPS guy by 15 minutes. He was off his schedule! No shoes for me until Monday. UPS is such a pain, they don't have really workable alternate pickups (or locations in the city) that make sense for me and their delivery window is huge. I prefer FedEx, which I can reroute to campus the same day as a missed delivery. Otoh, at least my UPS guy usually hits this street at the same time. Usually.

I'm managing to do a load of laundry, and then I'm done.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Nice hardware!

now I really want to put Mike and Tim together!

I don't like tomatoes or cucumber, so gazpacho is just not for me. It does sound very refreshing if you like that sort of thing, though.

Oh, the other thing happening tomorrow is a Project Runway contestant is teaching a draping class at a store up in Sacramento. That sounds fun, but I don't think I can make it happen.

Y'all. I ordered a tote bag from Evil Supply Co ( it's adorable) and on the ordering page there's a box for special instructions that mentions maybe you want curses or hauntings attached, so I asked for a charm that would keep me from leaving the tote bag somewhere. It just came with a note card with this written on it"

Remember, remember, this wonderful tote, keep it with your keys (and in winter your coat).

Love.

I love all the components of gazpacho, but the consistency and temp are A Thing for me. I like it just fine if I'm scooping it up with bread or something else, I just can't eat it with a spoon.

Tonight's dinner, in fact, was half an English cuke, quartered, and a handful of cherry tomatoes, dipped in champagne vinagrette. Deconstructed salad, I couldn't actually deal with any more work than that.

That's awesome, -t.

I had a cucumber with hummus. And some crackers and a few almonds. The end.
