Baseball game officially flaked on. It has been so nice to putter around the house by myself with nothing pressing on my schedule. I really should feed Jack and myself though.

My boss has been having sleeping problems and is stressing over it, which makes it even more difficult. As we were chatting today, I suggested edibles to him since they are legal here. He brightened up and said he may give it a try...but if it is a gateway drug for him, he is blaming me.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

> be very careful walking down stairs when I first get them

I've had bifocals for about five years now, and I still feel the need to go slow and hold on to the rail when I go down stairs.

Thrive to spite them

I need to get my eyes examined I havery to take off my glasses to read the phone or some books. Also the weird not quite Doble vision thing is getting slightly worse.

I did find a place that said they can let me keep my frames and put new lenses in. I love these glasses so unless they break I want to keep them.

How big is your team?

Steph, there are 200 people on my team (ravenclaw) and then another 200 in each of the other three houses. We are trying to see who will log miles the fastest in an around the country route starting at Pulse and ending there. We went counter clockwise and are now in San Bernandino. It's a fundraiser for the Trevor Project.

t I had the wrong quote quoted. Of course.

Oh, with the Harry Potter Running Club? Cool! I keep meaning to sign up for one of their races. (Which I *really* need to do after opening my birthday presents from Tim, one of which was a wooden plaque thingie with hooks to hold finisher's medals and bib numbers. It's awesome.) (Other gift: the Hamiltome. Awwww YEAH.)

When my parents and nephews were up in CO, dad went to a pot shop to buy my aunt some. She's got situational insomnia (sorta PTSD from losing my uncle, this week was their anniversary and she was sorta falling apart for the last month.) One of her friend's used a variety that helped with insomnia, but of course my aunt wouldn't actually ask for details; my dad had no such compunction. And then he had extensive conversations at the store. More hilarious, he had Dominic with him and took pictures of him in front of the sign.

Dad thinks the last time he bought pot was the early 70s, it was never an interesting trip for him. But he joked that if it works for her but she's too Midwestern to go to the damned shop, he'll pay someone to go shopping for her and deliver it. But maybe that wasn't a joke, really. Dad really loves Sue. It's funny that they went on one date, both agreed they enjoyed it but no chemistry. Sue ended the date with "though...you should meet my little sister."

I've gone 60 miles

You've done 60 miles in a week, Kat? Damn!

I'm annoyed because I managed to do the first "return to running" thing that the PT gave me, but then my NONbroken foot started hurting again. I waited a couple days, then tried again...nope. NOT HELPFUL BODY. I'm old and falling apart, apparently?? I want to be running again, but I also need to be able to dance next weekend when I'm at a convention, and walk around this weekend, for Pride. And I don't want to make a doctor appointment because I"m pretty darn sure the answer will be "rest, ice, anti-inflammatories". Grr.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My crazy running team? Has run 6518.5 miles since a week ago. I've gone 60 miles. We have another 3000 miles to go before next week.

Wow! That's impressive.

Welcome to old-folks-table. Ibuprofen does not-a-thing for me, but I am straight up on naproxen like a fool. I've been doing two a day workouts for a week and I'm exhausted. But I have another week to go and a lot of what I'm now doing is walking more than running. But 60 miles is 60 miles. We have a half marathon on sunday and then I need to taper down.
