Yeah, the ticket isn't that expensive, and my friend isn't planning to go until mid-afternoon, which sounds actually better for me. I'm going!

Low cost + not actually spending the entire day there = have An Experience, Jesse!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Sock Dreams has good plus-size tights, as do We Love Colors. [link]

Places like Roaman's and Lane Bryant will also have good tights, and have started carrying the miraculous fleece-lined tights in autumn/winter.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

waiting until I find a Dr. in San Francisco and sending a request to have my medical records sent there?

That's pretty standard though, isn't it?

Plumber has been and gone, toilet needed a new wax ring, but of course the fittings were slightly off-of-standard, which is typical for this house, which was apparently built by someone who got good deals on close-out construction materials.

Knee-high things might be a good move, I'm only worried about moving from house to car to work or wherever, and I like calf-length skirts. Thank you for all the searches!

ION, I feel like I can't tell how old anyone is anymore, and also people my age can be at any stage in their career. I just had to ask for birthdates on a bunch of our leadership, and it's fascinating! I was right that one of them is about 50, but now wish I had known it was actually his 50th birthday a couple of months ago. Also our CFO is significantly younger than me, which I knew in my heart, but not on paper.

Ugh. I hate this. So hard to tell how old people are, and so weird sometimes. People in my job range from pretty fresh from college, to career-switching nurses, to people who did something related and came back to traveling after their kids are grown. I've accepted that my manager may be younger than me and have less experience (even if I don't like it), and it helps I don't see them in person almost ever, but when higher up people are young (mostly from seeing their resume and knowing when they graduated), it freaks me out.

Yeah, that's how I've done it before. I have the letter ready to go when I have a new doctor lined up.

My brain hurts. Maybe now is a good time to pick up my towels from Macy's.

Being able to estimate age also difficult for dating. Because I can often tell someone is younger/youngish, but there's a big difference between hitting on a 23 year old and a 30 year old...but I can't always tell!

hip deep in pie

Connie, my experience with over the knee socks from Sock Dreams is that they're overly optimistic in describing how wide things stretch. I bought two pair that were described as being stretchy enough to fit my thighs. One fit, but doesn't really stay up on their own, and the other ones I couldn't even get over my knee and ended up giving away. Neither of them were those that you linked to.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Friday afternoon!

What are people doing this weekend?

Tomorrow I am getting my hair cut but not colored, and other errands, then and then trying once again to force myself to clean a lot.
