You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I was drunk last night but I missed the drunk-and-post.

I'm at the Heartland Cafe because my stomach was crying out for protein. Glad I have off today.

My brain isn't working yet. I saw a headline that said "Granitas are the easiest frozen treat you'll make all summer," but I read "Granitas" as "Genitals."

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Freezing those is not actual easy in the summertime.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I'm a dork. Good morning, all.

Ok, so I did ok. My grammar was fine and all I did was deny the existence of an entire continent,

I've been to plenty of cons. If there aren't any celebrities or panels you want to see, then you should do the math on the cost of the ticket. People-watching can be fun if you've never been to a con, but it's not something I can or want to do all day. Plus huge crowds are not relaxing. If you're not going to any panels or buying any merch, then maybe skip this one and go to the beach.

YMMV.

I've discovered I really love dresses, long dresses with skirts that move. However, winter will be here, and my legs will freeze. Speak to me of plus-sized tights or their equivalent. Panty hose were of the devil and I think I'd rather have bare legs then wrestle with panty-hose-like things again.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I don't have any interest in paying for photos or autographs, but I did meet Max Brooks and get him to sign a book on the Expo floor at C2E2. I was mostly there for the panels though.

Turns out the travel hairspray I dug out of my purse was, in fact, eyeglass cleaner. No wonder it wasn't helping to keep my bangs out of my eyes!

At least you didn't hairspray your glasses.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Last con I went to was DragonCon, maybe nine years ago. Stood in line for two hours to register, thus missing the panel I most wanted to attend. Spent the rest of the weekend trying not to melt down from either the heat or the immense number of people. Made forays into the con to buy books and spent a lot of time in my hotel room reading. Decided large cons are not for me. YMMV.

There are tights now that are smooth non-clingy fabric on the outside and warm fleece on the inside. I've heard of them, but never tried them, because I never saw them in plus sizes until last year.

I scheduled the plumber for noon so the housemate would get his shower and be out of the house. Just got a call from him saying he was ahead of schedule and could he come by in about fifteen minutes. Housemate was literally in the shower. Plumber seemed almost annoyed that I wouldn't agree to him coming over, though maybe he's more used to people being eager for the chance.

I look forward to living alone and not having to take other people into account for scheduling.
