Ugh. msbelle, I hope your evening ended on a better note.

I'm up and headed to the gym (yay?). I have to work this whole week which is a drag. I need/want the time off, and yet?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Head still hurts. I thought it was getting better last night, but it still hurts. Today is going to suck. I have a webinar that I missed yesterday and I have to call that author and I have a crapton of work on top of all of that. How can one small head be capable of hurting this much?

Steph, I'm so sorry. That sounds like the worst.

This is worse than yesterday. I am so angry that going to the doctor for a shot didn't help. I have all the drapes pulled and all the lights off and my laptop dimmed AND (for real) I'm wearing my sunglasses. I've never had to wear sunglasses in the house. Anything mechanical that can make sound is turned off except the phone because I have an alarm set for the webinar. And if I could make all the birds outside relocate, I would do it in a second, because their chirping really hurts my head.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Sorry Steph. i don't know how I'd cope with having to work in that situation.

Anne came over yesterday--she was depressed about the Orlando mass shooting. We ended up looking at Far Side cartoons for a few hours, which helped us feel better.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I would 100% take a sick day. But then, I have paid sick days. (And think my job can fuck off in general.)

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Yeah, I would 100% take a sick day. But then, I have paid sick days. (And think my job can fuck off in general.)

The older I get, the more likely I am to do this. When I was in high school/college, people "called in" all the time for both real sickness and because they had other things to do! I never did that with retail jobs, I worked no matter what. When I first got an office job, I might call in if I was really sick. Now I take probably far too many sick days, and I don't feel bad

Steph- I hope you feel better

msbelle- I hope you got some sleep. The garage thing is rather ingenious. I am glad the internet did not exist when I was a child, because no one said anything about my obsessive reading. But I seriously did almost nothing but read and watch tv as a kid- I just somehow also still got good grades so no one noticed.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Oh mac, please stop being so stubborn. Your mother will outdo you any day of the week, including Sundays, in her sleep, while hanging upside down. I'm very glad you're smart, but again, you're not going to outsmart your mother.

Sara, I really hope this work idiocy modulates itself soon. The level of bullshit you've been dealing with is not sustainable.

Tep, I'm sorry. Heads should not give us this much trouble. I hope you can make it through the day with the least amount of pain possible.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

If he passed all his classes and did minimal chores I wouldn't say anything either. There is a level of obsessiveness with this though that is really unhealthy. He foregoes food, bathing. He had over a week old pizza in his room. There is a laziness more than I am familiar with and also a refusal to deal with anything until the last second. He has to learn better coping and processing, because where he is now will not suffice for life on his own.

Our wings are not tired.

^^^ All that stuff Maria said for me.

I've got my 24 yo at home again. "Wants to fix his life." Yes, we have heard this before. Sigh.
