I want to yell at about five different groups of people simultaneously. Mostly Republican senators, admittedly.

I can't really post anything else on FB right now because I'm sure it's going to come out as a garbled mashed-up rant about Trump, the GOP, and the NRA, probably with my bigoted aunt thrown in for good measure (she's the one who says she cries when she has to tell her gay friends that God hates how they live) (I'm reasonably sure she doesn't HAVE any gay friends since she so diligently spreads the hatred) (and it's fucking attitudes like hers that lead directly to people being murdered).

So...it's probably best I don't post anything. And I'm full of migraine meds so I can't start drinking. And it's hotter and more humid than the equator right now, so I can't take a walk. Basically, what I'm saying is I have a lot of anger and nowhere to aim it.

Sounds like an excellent time to take it out on any Lutherans who may be congregating in your shower. I myself have been stripping wallpaper glue ferociously. (Yes, still/again.)

And bigoted!aunt has jumped in with her rhetoric about Americans needing guns to rise up against the government.

(Please don't anyone respond to her if you see it. I told her twice that I didn't wish to discuss it, and I'm going to block her if she continues. While I'm admittedly a wingnut who would prefer that no one but the military and LEOs have guns, I'm also not here for discussions about arming the populace to rise up against the government, especially when 50 people just died.)

Heeeeeey, she replied to say she won't discuss it further (though I question whether her use of the term "dear niece" was genuine or snarky, but I'll take the win). And she also didn't say anything shitty about gay people, so it can just stay where it is.

(Though I boggle that she's ready to rise up against the government. Hercules Mulligan, she ain't.)

I just heard about the Orlando shooting. How terrible. WTF is wrong with people?

No meteors, alas. We saw some swiftly moving lights that others IDed as satellites, but not in the telescopes.

I'm feeling pretty good about my decision to spend today cleaning for an open house and then sorting through my basement storage space while listening to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy instead of listening to the news. I've seen enough in little snatches to be heartbroken, and I already know I wouldn't be able to handle the details.

I have adulted...front yard is weeded, car washed, wiper fluid purchased, and prescription picked up. I'm done. Too darned hot out there.

And I just remembered an errand I forgot. Now to contemplate if I really need to go out again today.
