So, from the beginning of the work bullshit problems over the past 6 weeks we've been telling the database folk: it's the db. Consistently the steps that are epically slow. They kept saying, no no no, see, normal response.

FINALLY got them to put in monitors for a real live event that indicates a likely intermittent hardware failure that's blocking connections, on the db side.Testing the theory first thing in the am. But FUCK THEM for refusing to look closer until now. The rest of us were willing to own up to maybe it was our part, but them? No, of course not.
How have none of these things become hot hipster trends and swept the nation?
Give it six months - an upstate-NY-themed cafe just opened down the street from me called Buffalo's Famous. They have hot wings and garbage plates and probably some of the other things on your list.

Really and most sincerely must go to bed. I am just so over stimulated with all the politics today. And yet I still will wake in about 6 hours no matter how long I stay up. But I want to watch Obama, and Warren, and Biden! This election, we got this.
First--Gud, get that taken care of!
Second--I'd had a very mild toothache on and off. This week it came back, but not terribly and I made a dentist appointment for Saturday. By last night, it was really bad and I was up and throwing myself at the dentist by 8am. She took a long look and told me she thought I needed a root canal. She made an appointment at an endodontist. I was way too hurty to eat, so I got my car washed, like a motherfucking adult and then went to the Endo and spent three hours getting a root canal.
I then went to the CVS with my scrips for antibiotics and Vicodin they would not fill them because they were not dated. Rather than drive the 20 minutes back to the Endo, I bought a pen, went out to my car and added the dates, then went to another CVS. I got the antibiotics but they were "out" of vicodin. Made it home by 4:30.
