My budget is all kerfucked because the Budget office did not put in the right numbers for salaries. Our salaries have not changed, but I will be more than 30K short this year if they don't change the numbers. Ask them to change the numbers and they say, "we can't because those were approved by the Bd of Trustees."
Then I got nominated to the Budget Committee, which I might be expected to chair, because I think I will be the longest serving person on the committee, and because I'm the only one who actually deals with a budget.
11 days until the beach, 15 until Sox joins us there.
Wow, Sparky. That's some Office Space level shenanigans right there. I have had about enough of life imitating satire.
It would be hard to overstate how much I just want to crawl back into bed and sleep.
Argh. I can't even get into everything, just argh.
How do you tell someone they need to work on having common sense?
I kind of forgot the meetings I had this morning. Whoops.
Yesterday was roughly 50% meetings. Exhausting. I don't see how people do that all day, every day. And these were meetings with reasonably competent people who I like. And we accomplished things in them. Basically the Platonic ideal of a meeting, and yet. I'm very glad today is all about doing stuff we decided to do yesterday.
All right, off to vote.
Go, you, rocking your Constitutional rights!
I want waffle cake.
Once my mom made us cupcakes using ice cream cones (the cake cones, hah, with the flat bottoms) in place of cupcake papers. It was awesome, and more fun and easier to eat. I'll have to do that again sometime.
Oh, right. Voting. I already did that! I probably should check to make sure my ballot got processed, though.
My head still hurts a lot. Ugh.
Oh, we used to do that sometimes. It was pretty convenient - halfway between a cupcake and a cake pop.
I cast the 11th ballot at my polling station. All the workers were still all eager to do everything perfectly, kinda nice.
