No direct help in that, sorry meara, just my reason for suggesting that you consider the possibility of side effects from either your prescription or OTC meds.

Ooh, that's kinda scary dcp! Glad it went away. I'm really hoping this is not from my regular medications (which haven't changed). I'm now wondering if maybe it's my neighbor's raspberries. Which might be Evil Raspberries? My roommate said they made her itch, but she's allergic to a LOT of stuff (apples, bananas, plums, almonds...) I just took a benadryl, and used a little topical too (because hey, it was buy one get one free, so I got pills AND cream!)

I'ma take that as a sign the universe wants me to have a Funfetti waffle for my birthday.

Clearly true!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Decline the meeting and go rest, shrift.

Hooray Funfetti waffles!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Suzi, about Miss Kitty, the weight loss, have you changed what you are feeding her to induce weight loss? If not, that plus not grooming herself as much as she used to is sufficient cause for having a conversation with a veterinarian. It could be something as easily managed as hyperthyroidism (one of the things older cats sometimes have trouble with). If the weight loss is explained by changes in feeding, then the not-grooming might be due to arthritis. If that's the thing, and with approval of Miss Kitty's veterinarian, you might try this [link] with her - Pet Naturals Hip + Joint for Cats has done wonders for Harvey over the last four years.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Since you are here, Windsparrow- as a cat is expert. I got my cat around 9 years ago. They said she was 9 or 10. She does not seem old at all! Do you think maybe she was younger, or I just have a really spry cat?

Sophia, Harvey is 18, so around the same age. The two major health problems he currently has are ones we saw the seeds of years ago. Otherwise he would be fit enough to chase your cat right around the bend. So yeah, I think it is entirely possible your kitty is a happy older cat in fine health.

I went home early, managed to make my 5:30 meeting, and now I'm watching playoffs hockey in the dark while trying to convince myself to eat something for dinner.

I hate ants.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I don't see how you could have any ants, considering that ALL OF THEM are in our pantry.

No, they're marching to nowhere from my kitchen windowsill.

The thing is, they have no destination. Can't get to cat food, it's on a water dish. Everything else is sealed up. I'm convinced they are eating my walls.

No, they're marching to nowhere from my kitchen windowsill.

They didn't get the memo that the place to be is Cincinnati.
