Saffron: But we've been wed. Aren't we to become one flesh? Mal: Well, no, uh... We're still two fleshes here, and I think that your flesh ought to sleep somewhere else.

Thrive to spite them

Cross post kinda becaue I'm freaking and frustrated.

Penny my cat is missing. She has been exploring in the basement and I haven't felt well and slept most of the day and then I realized she's not around. She might have gotten outside, but she could have done something and met a bad end in th ebasement.

I don't know.

kitty~ma please

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Cat~ma, askye. I hope she wanders up to you just fine after sleeping all day herself somewhere safe.

Any bets on whether ~90 cubic feet of mulch will fit in my trunk?

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Askye, that is scary. This happened to me once, and my cat was in the closet for a whole day and a half! I was beside myself!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

COME OUT, PENNY! I'm also hoping she's just hidden someplace.

I hear you, msbelle. I realized how much I need a vacation and/or new job when, by mid-day on the first day after a three-day weekend, all I could think was, "Fuck you, you fucking clowns." Luckily, I am getting a vacation in four weeks and then a new boss. Which might help?

In other news, my geekery of the evening: I heard somewhere that the Wakandans in CA:CW speak Xhosa, and then I noticed that "thank you" sounded an awful lot like "thank you" in Rinyarwanda, which I hear pretty often at work because of Reasons. Come to find out, they are both Bantu languages, so I wasn't just hearing things. It's enkosi in Xhosa and murakose in Kinyarwanda.

Depends on what kind of car you have, t, but I'm guessing no.

Got to run on a fancy treadmill at the PT office that you get into this pair of pants and it uses air pressure to take weight off you. So I felt what it would be like to run on the moon! And what it would feel like to be 90% of my body weight. Still not approved to run on my own yet. Next week I run on a regular treadmill, and then he may approve.

I went and rattled food from one bowl to another. Mom's cat came around. No Penny. I can wait and hope and maybe move some furniture around in the basement, but it'skind of hard with my hand burned. (or part of it).

It's also drizzling and I hope she's just hiding somewhere.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

yeah, I really don't want to get sick. I just don't want to deal with my life and it seems in my head like a way out without bailing. Clearly I am not gonna bail, I just want to like 50% of the time.

someone had put 2 bags of mostly clothes on hold yesterday, said they would come by with $$ today. It was the last of the day, so I said sure. Kinda doubted they would show up once it was after 6, but she did, and with the $$ and said she wants to buy something else if she can get it next week. Sure

Come on, Penny, show yourself!

Cool beans on the selling stuff, msbelle! I have been there, daydreaming about being just sick enough to not have to deal with my life. I wish you some restorative break, somehow.

Look at you, sort of recognizing words in the same linguistic family, Jesse! Neat.

That's pretty amazing, meara. I want to try that! But without hurting myself first. Good luck with recovering more in the next week!

The idea of picking up mulch flew right out of my head once I got outside and got smacked in the face with the heat. Not in a rational "It's too hot to be spreading mulch" sense, although it is, but more like chunks of my brain shut down and I could only come home on automatic pilot. Thermometer on the patio says it is 95 in the shade, and my front yard is not shady. There's wind, but it's a hot wind. So unpleasant. I'll water the cardboard before I go to bed and mulch later in the week some time. That'll have to do. Sorry, neighbors.

If Penny is like Loki, probably fast asleep in a cupboard and can't hear the enticing noises. He gives me panics on a regular basis.

Work developed a new wrinkle that has us down another rabbithole. I'm so done.
