You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That seems like a good deal.

Paging Hec! Would you be willing to answer a few questions about pitching to the 33 1/3 folks? M submitted a proposal to them last year, which wasn't accepted, and is now wondering how best to retool/rethink it for the next round. Any chance you'd have some advice to offer?

Coding and Sleeping

Huh. It looks like Think Geek is selling T-shirts for $10 if you buy at least two of them (I can't see anything about a sale until checking out, then suddenly all the T-shirts are $10). Also there is a promo code 'GEEKDAY' for free shipping on orders of at least $30. If you've been wanting some T-shirts from Think Geek, it's apparently a good time to get them.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

This house costs a bit more, but wow! [link]

The addition of olives and replacing the onion powder with actual onions has improved the enchiladas wonderfully. A nice dish to have in my repertoire.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Excellent post number, Connie.

Note to self: prunes are delicious but maybe next time don't eat quite so many at a time. Oops.

That which does not kill you should RUN

Oh, beloved, you and your "but it could be useful/isn't it cool?" habits in thrift stores.

Man, I feel this.

We are going to go through the office tomorrow, which is beginning to look like a Hoarders episode. It's going to be a LOOOONG process.

The office here is something out of a Hoarders episode. The rest of the house is not (cluttered, yes, damn you, dining room table, but not Hoarders level at all), but the office is from hell. One time I posted a picture of the dining room table because I wanted to demonstrate how much shit was on it, and I wasn't embarrassed, because, well, dining room tables pile up. But I would be embarrassed to ever ever EVER post a picture of the office. Ugh.

The garbage can is full, but there's room in the recycling bin, so I'm going to dump some paper tomorrow.

Sure! But it's gotten way more competitive than when I got in, and they've changed editors (and publishers). So I can only advise what worked for me. Not sure what the current team prefers.
