awww our kitty who is super shy with strangers is acting like I'm a stranger today. She's been hiding under the futon in bob's office all day and when I looked under it at her she ran and hid under our bed. Making me sad!

Aw, cat! You know your friend!!
Aw, don't make lisah sad, kitty! You know her.
I can't even with the Cap stuff. I'm just not acknowledging it's happening. Not that I am a comics-reading person, but still.
I think I am going to have to come in early next Tuesday. Rats. But I don't see a way around it, I've got this damn conference call at 9 and there's information that must be gathered before then that is just not available today. I suppose I could do that part from home over the weekend, but that would be even worse.
What's the Cap-Hydra stuff? I could google but i know you guys can give a much better explanation of why people are upset (I don't read the comics).
Harvey is either having cognitive decline issues, or so much pain that he is showing confusion. I'm writing down everything I can think of that is not as per usual, to bring with us for his yearly check-up next week. As a coincidence, we just gave him the last dose out of his vial of opioid liquid medication last night. Considering we got it in September, I'm planning to have a long talk with the vet about interpreting signs of pain. As in, I suspect I could have been more generous with the meds. And there isn't much to do about age related cognitive decline other than make sure the environment is optimal for the cat, and keep 'em comfortable.
What's the Cap-Hydra stuff?
There's been a big reboot of Captain America, where Steve Rogers has taken back the title (he wasn't, for awhile). Through the course of the first issue, there's an extended flashback of his early days as a member of Hydra, which is really an organization dedicated to helping the downtrodden, no really. And Steve has really been working for Hydra all along, working for their true goals. The issue ends with him throwing a guy out of a plane to protect his secret and saying "Hail Hydra."
People are annoyed.
I just found a performance by JoCo and Leslie Odom Jr. I can die happy now.
Is Hydra actually a bad org?
Yeah Hydra is pretty much Nazis. The movies directly tie them to the Nazis the comics not so much.
Also Captain America was created before the US entered WWII and it was a big deal. The men who created Captain America were Jewish (although I don't think that was public knowledge at the time) so having a new comic book character debut punching Hitler when not all Americans were on board with "Hitler is bad" was a big deal.
