Natter 74: Ready or Not

I hope the victory is long-lasting and thorough!
Way to go, msbelle, that's great!
That sucks, sarameg. Don't they know you need swim time?
The weather was nice and I needed some steps to meet my daily goal, do I took Walter for a stroll. He is getting old and slowing down, but he is still pretty happy to go for a w-a-l-k.
Trying to decide if I need dinner, now. I guess if I'm not sure I probably would be sorry later if I didn't have anything.

I'm amused that the Fitbit (so far) can get me off the couch when nothing else could. I'm a sucker for data.
Sticker motivation!
Although, I note that I am getting an oddly shaped arm tan, because I wear my fitbit disguised with a bunch of leather straps so it looks like a cuff.
My coworkers respect my swim time as they would a family care obligation (they know better than to abuse the SINK), this other team, NSM.
And now we're having office seating shenanigans! Overriding away boss's reccs! Awesome!

Mine actually could not motivate me at all, step-wise, with the default 10,000/day goal. I finally reset the goal to last week's average + a little and that I will apparently put in a little effort to reach.
The 250 steps/hour during the workday is my crack, though. If only it would, like, beep at at ten to and tell me how short of 250 I am!

I need a different band, because the plastic one is already getting kind of icky.

Shit, I immediately changed the default to 5,000 since I work from home (it is kind of amazing how much walking I really did at my old job; shit, just walking from the house to the car and the car into the building, etc., added up). But I'm blowing past 5,000 with no problem, so I'm going to reset it to 7,000 for now and see how I do.
I put it at 7500 once I was working from home. I need to do the elliptical to hit it, but if I do that first thing in the morning, I can usually get there, because sticker.
Well, we finally have at least one answer wrt mac's summer school. He failed the Algebra EOC test, so he has to take classes M & W Jun 8 - July 6, unsure of the times. They show having three periods each day, but only show that they are offering 2 classes and he will only be taking one.
This is the worst possible case. Unless he fails a class other than Algebra for the semester, he will be in class for the minimum amount of time and it blocks me registering him for credit advancement Health class I wanted him to take.
I guess I better start working up daily chore sheets since there will not be weekday internet without chores getting done.

I think that'll be my ultimate goal. And I definitely have to take a walk in order to hit it, but that's fine. That's the idea -- to get me moving.
I'm fascinated by the sleep tracking (I have a Flex) and I wonder how accurate it really is.
I feel like the sleep tracking is pretty reasonably accurate. Probably moreso than the heart rate during exercise. The only thing it gets wrong is when I'm contentedly reading in bed before I fall asleep, because I get still and my heart rate slows. But then I can edit the record if I'm feeling particularly picky about it. I can usually see in the record where I put the book down.
