Kaylee: Can I? Zoe: Sure. He's out, though. Kaylee: He did this for me, once.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, man, sara, that is a lot of suckage.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm real! Jesse and Tom can vouch for my very recent existence!

Her brother-in-law posted "when has he gleefully encouraged hate crimes".

I think my favorite part of this response is how blatantly it assumes that there's nothing wrong with racism, sexism, lying, and bribery.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm real! Jesse and Tom can vouch for my very recent existence!

The problem is that it was Tom asking the question, so.

Uggghhhhh, sara.

I hate feeling impotent. In most of the other sub-projects I'm designated head, people hotstep when I cry foul. But the same people who see me as expert in xyz, wouldn't take me as the same authority as my boss for big ops. It's frustrating. Partly tied to everyone being overextended right now, they wanted to be able to ignore it (big build for the other mission is in dev production the next 2 weeks and they're behind.)

But I had people in my own branch doing the opposite of what I told them and pushing back when I told them no. Which, I mean, I got them to do what I said eventually, but it wasted time. And made more mess for me to clean up. And is demoralizing.

Pretty much a horrid day on so many levels, not just the actual computer shit that went wrong. I'm gonna need a talk with my boss. After she comes back from vacation. After Memorial Day.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I was just about to say that.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yup. sigh.

On the plus side, wine & sushi for dinner tonight

Sorry for the craptastic day, sarameg. Go bourbon!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, turns out it was my friend's brother-in-law I was sparring with. Or not sparring as the case may be. So I've disengaged. More's the pity.

Yikes, sarameg, that is a lot. But it sounds like you did the best you could with it, and even though you had to call the boss for backup, you got at least a reasonable result, which is what you needed to do.

Definitely bourbon.

I'm about to bourbon myself, because I'm tracking vocals. But I should probably wait until I get the high ones done first. Oy.

Oof, those are not reactions you want, sarameg. Tiresome.

I can't even with the Trump nonsense.People should be better than that.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I posted this big long thing and all I got back was #please. Hashtag please? All I'm getting is hashtag please?

You made him beg. #winning
