"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

(She wants to create animated TV shows now. And live in a Victorian house. I have not yet broken it to her that LA is not known for its Victorian, or affordable, architecture.)

Pixar and Victorians right up thisaway. ijs

Matilda also did science fair today but there was no poop. However, a couple weeks ago she did sculpt a Poop Emoji.

Also, she got high scores on her Aerial assessment (and a lovely note) so she's moving up to the next tier.

Ugh, I'm emotionally wrung out from this week's HONY particularly the last super sad entry to the Sloan Kettering Pediatric Oncology series. Most of the stories were actually quite hopeful, but Brandon didn't pull any punches on the last one.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

You live too far away for me to find you a boyfriend, Rebecca. Not that I've ever found anyone a boyfriend before.

Seems likely?

That's my current theory for why this year I suddenly became the angriest mom in the world (sort of like that old comic "The Angriest Dog in the World" only without the restraint). Been taking a low dose of tryptophan for a few months and it has helped. I still get angry, but I no longer feel like I want to tear people's heads off.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Seems likely?

Oh, yeah. Definitely.

I'm having hot flashes every night right now, it's just awesome. I love perimenopause. Sigh.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Buh-wuh?

Y'all are real people, right?

hip deep in pie

Seems likely?

I have been thinking my bouts of full blown anxiety have a lot to do with hormonal changes.

Y'all are real people, right?
Some days, I'm not so sure about myself.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Pokes self.

Ow. I feel real.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It doesn't sound like she was talking to herself in different guises, though, right? Just that there was only on poster on all those boards.

Because books.

We are real people and we are all going through menopause!

I think I might be done! I haven't had my period in three months. FINGERS CROSSED.

The emotional stuff is still ongoing, though. Irritatingly.
