Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I appreciate your work!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I should give tumblr another look-see I guess, but then again, I still haven't cottoned on to twitter, so I suspect I'm useless

hip deep in pie

I appreciate your work!

Looking at pictures of pretty men is such toil!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I have not really gotten the hang of tumblr. I enjoy my occasional browsing, though.

I thought today's dental appointment was the quick fitting for a night guard but it is actually the ore involved crown replacement. Oops. But maybe good that I didn't have any of the anticipation of a lengthy procedure?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I seriously think I'm going to start a massive unfriending or hiding of people's posts on FB until after the election, because it just hit me that the subset of Sanders supporters who ALSO aggressively hate Clinton and make many posts per day about that are not going to stop posting shitty hateful things once Clinton is the official candidate. In fact, they'll probably double down.

And I am so over it. People who I think are otherwise good, generally compassionate people (not perfect, but then who is?) have been posting the most reprehensible shit about Clinton on FB. And all I can think is, "So...you actually *meant* for people to see this? You *want* people to know this is something you're proud to claim as your opinion?"

I've become progressively less fond of Sanders as the campaign goes on, but I also don't post about it on FB. I certainly don't post hateful memes about it. And I just don't have the emotional bandwidth to deal with it any more. Because when I see the hateful anti-Clinton stuff posted, I get FURIOUS and waste too much time and energy seething about it, composing replies and immediately deleting them before I hit Post, and just generally getting all riled up.

So, I gotta start hiding/unfriending people, because I'm not going to deal with it any more. (It should go without saying that alla y'all are awesome on FB and my only real problem with any of you is that you are falling down on the job of posting cute dog pictures or videos.)

information libertarian

Today Casper told me she wants to go to Cal Arts for college. So, if she manages to make that happen, I am counting on my LA-istas to keep an eye on my baby. (She wants to create animated TV shows now. And live in a Victorian house. I have not yet broken it to her that LA is not known for its Victorian, or affordable, architecture.)

FTR I wholeheartedly support Casper at Cal Arts!

There are a few areas known for their Victorian architecture, like Pasadena, Long Beach, or a few areas in mid city, although none of them are particularly near Cal Arts.

I'm glad I don't have any Bernie bloviators on my flist, just Bernie supporters. And I get the support for Bernie, hell I even get the skepticism for Hillary and I plan on voting for her! I think unfriending or unfollowing is probably better than engaging, esp if engaging means a fight. I do think this Nevada kerfuffle is going to be bad for Clinton, regardless of who is in the wrong - or more deeply in the wrong anyway - unless she can get out in front of it. Because the pro Bernie forces that are really just anti Hillary forces are just one Democratic convention away from being full-on Trump supporters. Can't stop them from voting that way, but Clinton can stop them from pulling lots of other Bernie supporters with them.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Animation: At CalArts and elsewhere, more women are entering the picture.

Punishingly Intricate

eblog-to-reply-to-a-post thing is cumbersome and weird as hell and doesn't feel like a conversation

Yeah, I think that's the part I don't understand. I keep looking for comments or something and they aren't there.

I'd like to see a combination of tumblr for nice photos and lj for conversation. But I have no idea how one would make that happen.
