Windows are wicked expensive, but it is pretty exciting not to have to deal with storm windows, ones that don't stay open, etc, etc.

So yesterday I was all ridiculous because I was hungry. Today, it didn't occur to me until almost 5pm that the reason I was headachey and dull was maybe something to do with the fact that I didn't drink my coffee this morning?? (I had to toss it when I realized the cream was bad). Drank a coke. Feeling a smidge better.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration
meara, that is why I put it things like "make coffee" and "drink water" on my phone as recurring tasks. And write notes to myself to eat at specific times.
It may gut be time for the tepid bath. I thought my bedroom might be cool enough to lie down in for a while with a the curtains drawn and the ceiling fan on high, but no.

I've been listening to a ton of On Being (today's installment was Elizabeth Alexander who is breathtaking). But she had john a powell on a few weeks ago and he wrote about white privilege in a way that is sitting with me and is such a good explanation. He wrote, "Whiteness is like the invisible presence of the narrator in a story told from the third person point of view.” It's the shaping voice.
Been thinking of that for a while, but your discussion upthread about privilege reminded me of it.
