So my cat is not traumatized from her day in the bathroom, and I have some new windows! But not all new windows, and apparently there's still some work to be done on my front windows, so I guess I shouldn't put the furniture back, curtains up, etc. They look really nice, though!

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I need/want new windows. I probably need other things more, though. I am kind of worried about my plumbing in a 'full copper re-pipe' kind of way, even though it's the cast iron drain pipes that are worrying me.
Yay windows! And blasé Hazel.
Only got a mile in before a kid barfed. But I'm ok with that. I'm actually physically exhausted and that was a hard, whiny mile....
The only moving-related things I've done today are pick up the 6 month supply of contact lenses that I ordered and pack up more personal items from my desk that I need to take home. I feel like I'm dropping the ball.
I need to play around with room modelers tonight to figure out furniture, so I guess that will be my enormous task for the day.
My aunt called my mother to make sure that I'm OK and not "in a riot."
I need/want new windows. I probably need other things more, though.
I am Sue. Windows are on the list, just way down it. BUT as I posted yesterday I am finally doing some house stuff. 8/4 appts for fence estimates and electrical inspection which will then come with an estimate for the work I want (grounding all outlets, adding electrical to ceiling in front room and ceiling in garage, and whatever he finds wrong). after those two jobs get priced and then scheduled the list is:
1) repair termite damage - parts of baseboads, drywall, doorframes 2) repair drywall and install new medicine cabinet in my bath 3) check/fix roof over my bedroom - weird inconsistent leak 4) new garage door with keypad entry 5) attic entry 6) door on my bath 7) new windows 8) new carpet/pergo
then move. kidding, kind of. I should be able to get all that done in less than 4 years and it will help resale, especially the windows.
Hil, tell your mother that you chose your neighborhood specifically for its anti-riot (and pro-vegan) sensitivities.
Well, telling her that, if there were to be a riot, it would probably be near or on campus, wouldn't really help matters.
Nobody ever riots in the math building.
I tried to get an estimate for grounding all the outlets when we bought this house, but the electrician just said it wasn't worth the trouble.
