You were very nearly devoured by a giant demon snake. The words 'let that be a lesson' are a tad redundant at this juncture.

Oooh, those are some fine shoes!

I only ever had central air once. It was nice at the time, and I probably will go for a wall unit at some point, but I don't think I ned the full shebang here.

I refused to live in an apartment in DC if it didn't have central air. Now I don't have any ac, but it's normally fine. We shall see this summer, when I'm home more than I used to be, how it goes. Otoh, the coworking space I joined does have ac, so I might just hang out there a lot?

I've had my eyes on them since I introduced a college friend to flues and she wore the blue in her wedding.

I won't have central air for some time. Window units manage, sorta. When I decide to drop 15k, I'll get central. But with the window units upstairs making in bearable and electric bills less than central, not in a hurry. Love my tower fans.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Man, I know I hate on humanity a lot, but I'm just sitting here in tears at an amazing example of what doesn't suck about this world. I may cry all over again if I talk about it, but basically, a woman I know who was shot in the Mothers Day second line parade 3 years ago has been an incredible advocate for and has publicly forgiven her shooter(s), speaking up for them at their sentencing and visiting. She just got a letter from one of the brothers/shooters which is full of such regret for his past but a newfound hope for his future based on her faith in his humanity and communication with him.

Yep, crying again. Forgiveness is no joke.

Librarian Warlord

I am on the train to New Haven, where I will have lunch and then get back on the train to come home. One of my mentors is retiring from Yale, and I hope I don't ugly cry.

Nora, that is lovely. Fluevogs do not work for my feet, but I browse them anyway.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.
