Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's beautiful here!! I kind of thought we'd never see the sun again.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

It's been a fairly rainy spring here, which has been nice for my gardening efforts. The more the sky waters things, the less I have to.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

It's pretty out today here, too. Maybe shading into hot later on, we'll see.

I have had such a relaxing morning so far! Didn't get out of bed until 6, had time to putter around before I had to leave for work and still got here a little early, did not even have trouble parking. This is the life.

Our fence is FINALLY being replaced. I'm slightly annoyed that I didn't know today was DAY 1 of the process - we had talked about the 2nd week of May but I didn't have a solid date. That aside, they had the old fence down in minutes. It sounds like they are digging out the old posts and prepping to set new ones.

The new fence will be 6' instead of 4', so we will lose a bit of our view of the greenspace, but will have more privacy.

The best part? Jack has not been barking at the guys at all. He woofed when they first arrived but had been calmly watching the progress since. Very happy with him. He seems to finally be growing up.

That all sounds great, Suzi. Well, knowing when they were starting would have been nice, but contractors are just kind of like that ime.

I have a new tire and a massive headache from the smells at the shop.

That doesn't quite seem like a fair trade.

Totally unfair trade, sara.

Tornado sirens just went off. Didn't know we had them so close to the house (migraine - don't even think about it). The fence guys and I were looking at the sky trying to figure out if there was a real issue or a test. Then a voice from above said it was only a test.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You guys, I had a dream that my father died, and it's kind of thrown me off all day. The dream wasn't even the whole thing of it! It was literally just my phone ringing and it was my mother crying on the other end, so I Knew. On the upside, I knew it wasn't real because I don't have that ringtone anymore. But still, ugh.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

What is up, Jesse's brain? Why are you giving her the sadz?

Then a voice from above said it was only a test.

I'd always kinda hoped that when a voice from above rang out like that, it'd have something more momentous to share.

Also? I need to get to work, dangit! Why does my lazy brain have to resist so hard?
