And no call or anything, 'Suela? That's so wrong.
Nope.
Rehearsal was kind of traumatic tonight: we were on the risers, and practicing entrances, and people kept moving around! Argh. And now somehow I'm in the rear, next to the sopranos and right in front of the basses. Which is just... non-optimal.
Also, good luck, shrift! You can do it!
I did it. Feedback wasn't bad overall. One specific comment was harsh, but if that's how people feel, I need to address it regardless of whether it was intentional. (It was not because I am not a monster.)
I am just going to remind myself that negative emotions are okay. I haven't been in this job for a year. I can move on to something else. It's fine. I can deal with this.
Did the shelves ever arrive, 'suela?
Crap, forgot I was supposed to be fasting before my doctor's appt today. I've had about a third of a can of Coke Zero. Hopefully that won't be too big a deal.
That sounds very close to fasting!
OMG, why am I ridiculous? I was looking at job postings last night, and saw one at the place my old FWB used to work. We've totally fallen out of touch, so I sent him a message on LinkedIn.... and now I can't stand that he hasn't written back! We have literally not been in any contact in two years, and it's been 12 hours. I think I need to start dating again.
I turned in final grades last night at around 10 pm. Yay for electronic grade posting! And then I went to bed, and then later still I woke with a terrible headache from eye and neck strain. I may need a set of actual reading glasses; I don't think the progressives cut it on days when I'm spending 6 to 10 hours working on my laptop.

Your behavior isn't ridiculous, the problem is that you *feel* ridiculous. That's the annoying side of dating, the second guessing that goes with it.
Also, not quite done with teaching yet, I have follow up work still to do for my conference, plus 4 rec letters to write and a few personal statements to read. And then I need to line up all my doctor visits before the kids get out of school.

fwiw, I have found that to be true. The way I have to hold my head to read with my progressives makes them useful for occasional reading during a day of doing other stuff but not ideal for long stretches of mostly reading.
