Listen for once, Hazel.
I got my new cat furniture and a delivered-earlier-than-expected case of wine into the house, dining on Lean Cuisine enchiladas and a Weight Watcher margarita. Embracing my cliche, I suppose. Unfortunately, a column broke off of the new cat tree while Miss Kitty was on it, dumping her into Lucy's enclosure. No harm done, but they were both pretty freaked out. Lucy has gotten over it entirely and is lounging against her fence as usual, Miss Kitty is hiding in the back of the linen closet, but that might have more to do with Jadzia taking over Miss Kitty's cat carrier. MK has already leapt over Walter while he was sprawled in the hallway a couple of times, so their acquaintanceship is progressing nicely.
Steph and Theo, I'm so sorry about your cats. They comfort us so much while they're alive that their absense leaves a large hole.
So, I have a recipe that calls for 1/3 cup of mini semisweet chocolate chips. I want to make half a recipe. Can I just get a Hershey bar and cut it up small? A whole package for 1/6 cup seems ridiculous.
Sure! The main difference is that the bar may be more melty than the chips.
The "Special Dark" Hershey bar tastes more like semi-sweet to me. But I think the only place I ever see those is in the mixed bags of mini chocolate bars.
Shonda Rhimes' writing team on Scandal just ... Oh, I love them.

I was actually thinking about that! Maybe I'll buy a bag and donate them to people who have candy bowls at work...
Meanwhile, while I'm in the weeds in missing a test deadline because ops won't stop blowing up (half my day was triage mtgs, other half was fixing) my boss is texting me at 10:30 at night discussing how we can entice better hires we've made offers to. This is a new world for me, y'all. And no small part of it is the retirement of my ex-CSRA sup next month. F, my branch boss, doesn't have anyone more generalized and senior than me after this. There are coworkers with longer service, but more focused knowledge. I'm REALLY general, fuck, at the info session today, only I could describe how the whole system of cogs worked. Even over dev. It's my JOB to know this. Imposter syndrome can eat this.
