Am I supposed to be changing my clothes a lot? Is that the helpful thing to do?

Ann, that's a ferret.

Good luck, Maria.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, goodness. So much Tuesday today. Good luck to everyone with their job craziness, and to all the pets, and especially very glad Tiny Winter Soldier is home and doing well.

I've been doing really well on my new antidepressant regime, and I just wanted to report that. I feel so much better. Depression is an evil sickness because it makes you not realize how sick you really are until you finally start to get better.

From the Old Thread,

My coworkers and I are playing Bible or Metal Verse over lunch.
I got 16 out of 16 on this delightfully disturbing little quiz, thank you Bible-heavy education and heavy-metal-loving friends and family.

I think I've made a new friend. All on my own. Friend-friend, not make-out friend, which is what I wanted. (To clarify, I wanted the friend-friend. Not ready for make-out friend.) We have tentative plans for her to come to my house to play board games in a couple weeks, so now I have real incentive to clean up my house. I hope this works out into a real friendship. Also, a friend-of-a-friend that I've known for a while may be interested in becoming more of a friend-friend, and that would be dang nice too. I've lived in this town five years, it's about time I got out of my shell and started making friends.

Our wings are not tired.

My photos from Sunday's Pride parade

So much joy! Thank you!

{{Maria}} You are such a value to any firm! Sorry this isn't working out as well as you had hoped when you started.

kitty~ma and vet~ma for Burrell.

Go Zen with the friend making! Woo!

Now I need to play Bible or Metal Verse.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

It's so unfair, Maria. I'm outraged on your behalf! They have given you no support and are disappointed in the results? Schmucks.

Ooh, dog cognition sounds interesting! You can borrow Walter for tests, he's an excellent student and eager to please, if you can do them remotely.

Glad the new meds are helping, Zen! Always glad to get good news like that! Also glad to hear about friends coming into your life. Yay Zenkitty!

Oh, hey, btw, one of my avocado pits (one of, um, eight, maybe, that I stuck in water before deciding I should stop that) has sprouted. I may fall off the wagon.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I wish I could grow an avocado tree here. Go -t.

Jack has an abcess in his cheek. We are trying antibiotics (shoved in a hot dog) first. If that doesn't work, then it gets lanced. He was a trooper at the vet, according to K-Bug. Just mellow and only slightly perterbed by the sounds of other unhappy animals.

With the heat, we are going to get a kiddie pool for him to splash in after walks.

lisah - there are a few pictures on FB. He is so excited to have a home and his own people that it is hard to get him to be still at all.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Maria, that sucks. It's so frustrating to be given an impossible job and then penalized because it's impossible.

Over 12 years I never got a good picture of Gremlin. They were almost all pictures of her nose.

On my new work machine, I've added a tiny sticker of Black Widow and "Not Afraid to Say the F-Word" from the Ada Initiative: [link]

I feel like I need more stickers. I'm not a Loki fan, but this one made me laugh: [link]

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Feel free to come down here anytime and we can try to figure out what we want to be as grownups together, over grownup drinks!

I like that idea. And I can get in a little CB time too.

Zen, I'm glad that meds are helping.

Sorry this isn't working out as well as you had hoped when you started.

What kills me is that it's not my fault. I'm doing everything right. Boss even said so. I just need something to break my way to get my unit count up. Though long term I don't think I want to be doing this anymore.

Suzi, I hope Jack feels better soon.

It's so frustrating to be given an impossible job and then penalized because it's impossible.

Preach it, sister. Everyone really likes me, but I also have to provide value. I'm not at this point, and the owners are not keeping me around for my good looks and sparkling wit.

Thank you everyone. I'm really glad to have this place.
