My condolences about Muppet, Theo.
Natter 74: Ready or Not
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Apparently Trump put Ben Carson in charge of picking a running mate. So, in case you were worried the crazy train was slowing down...
Oh jeebus.
Apparently Trump put Ben Carson in charge of picking a running mate.
I'm sorry, but I really did laugh out loud when I read that.
Holy crap, this fustercluck just won't end, will it?
Anyway, sympathies, Theo. It's always hard to lose a pet.
My pet is now The CounterSurfer. This morning she took a freshly-baked loaf of bread off the very back of the counter while I was dressing in the bedroom. I caught her while it was still in one piece, although the top was gone. SIGH. I'm going to have to cool my baked goods on top of the bookshelf I think...
In addition, I managed to tweak my back, and I'm having mild vertigo. It's not the best day ever.
My boss goes out on sick leave tomorrow for three weeks. Here's hoping we have no emergencies.
Unrelated to anything except gunnghhhh. That pic of Chris Evans in the Rolling Stone piece. Ded. JFC.
I am sorry about Muppet and your roommate, Theodosia.
It heartens me to know that Chris Evans has anxiety too. Maybe not as bad as me, but from what he says in interviews, the inside of his head is a lot like mine.
The craziest police chase went by my house earlier. Must have been 30 cars, sirens blazing.
A crime reporter mapped out part of it - more than 50 miles, all over Chicago. [link] And that's not all of it - front the end there it eventually made it to o'Hare, where they apparently lost him because the police helicopter couldn't go into their airspace.
The tweets here are pretty funny. [link]
Damn, brenda!
Congrats to Suzi and CJ!
Condolences for Muppet, Theo, and I'm sorry about your roommates bad news. Tough day.
I had a long day myself, but full of good stuff. Miss Kitty came with her own cat tree, so I borrowed my parents' truck, drove down to get her and her accessories, mad it back u to my Tai Chi class only a couple of minutes late (Repulse the Monkey->Parting the Wild Horse's Mane -> Cloud Hands plus some Brush Knee walking forward practice, so now we can walk backward, forward, and sideways), finally had some dinner after class and got home after my bedtime but before it started raining. There is nothing quite like driving a not very familiar stick shift pickup through heavier than I'm used to traffic for a couple-three hours. Miss Kitty was pretty calm through most of it, though, which is nice. Hopefully not because she was terrified the whole time. I don't think so.
She's sequestered in the bathroom right now with her own food dish, water dish, litter box, scratch pad, and the carrier I transported her in in case that feels safe and familiar. Walter is super interested in meeting her but being polite about it so far, I don't think Jadzia and Pixie realize there is another cat in the house yet. That'll be a challenge for tomorrow. As well as getting the cat tree in from the truck and functioning on what will clearly be too little sleep.
Now that I've sen her, I don't think she's Maine Coon at all. Fluffy, though. Maybe Ragdoll, she reminds me of a cat that we figured was mostly Ragdoll.Certainly very sweet and friendly and apparently low key and calm.
