I can go to the store on my own, when ever I want now!!!

Woo hoo! That's great news, Suzi.

I'm totally jealous of his new car. It is a 2012 Ford Focus, manual. He has driven a stick a couple of times before, but today he really learned how to do it right.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Hurrah for car ownership (and particularly manual transmission cars!)!

Muppet failed badly through the afternoon, she was in very labored breathing, so we went to the vet's for the last time. It was largely peaceful, and especially given Muppet's integral dignity, graceful. The "light sedative" had her out like a light, she was so fragile, but I kept up the ear rubs just in case.

As if that weren't enough suck for the day, my roommate came home with the news that work has given her a choice: resign with a good reference, or retire early. (She's got over 25 years at MIT, but health issues, and mental health issues such as depression, have really done a number on her job performance.)

Me, I'm sad about Muppet but am trying to keep it in perspective, because 16 years is a good long run for a cat.

16 years is a fantastic run. Muppet was lucky to have you.

Sorry about your roommate's job situation.

CJ is going to pick up dinner - his first solo trip out with the new car (I'm buying him sushi).

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Ugh, Theo, what a crappy day.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm so sorry, Theo. That is a lot of suck.

I'm sorry, Theo.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Theo, I'm sorry about Muppet and sorry about your roommate.

I just spent 2 hrs picking investment plans for my 3 different retirement things, except I can't find the account numbers for the account I'm rolling over. Requested statements, but they'll only mail them, so that'll have to wait.

I STILL have no idea what I'm doing. That semester in 5th grade when Mr. Hamilton had us play the stock market for pretends didn't stick. Or didn't hook. I sucked at prob&stats. I am not a gambler. I'm a stuff-it-in-the-mattress. But I can always change them.
