I go online sometimes, but everyone's spelling is really bad. It's... depressing.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I think the moderate republicans have become moderate democrats (a la Hillary).

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Mmm, cheese.

My dad is still a registered Republican because he enjoys being able to say "as a lifelong Republican" when he writes angry letters to the party or elected officials, but I don't think he's voted for a Republican for Federal office since Reagan. He often actually knows the local candidates personally, so I don't hear what political parties they are in, just how much of a pain they are to work with (or not).

Good luck with the performance thingy, shrift. Mine is Friday. Well, when I find out raise or not, anyway; I got the actual written review yesterday and it was pretty glowing, but the company is still digging itself out of a financial hole. OTOH, if I don't get a raise I think I'll be eligible for overtime?

Sorry about Muppet, Theo, and I hope the tooth fix is easy and WORKS.

Thrive to spite them

I got in argument on a former classmates FB page who said he'd write in Bernie or not vote rather than vote for Hillary because she is no different than Trump. And he's not going to compromise his values by voting for someone controlled by...whoever he said she controlled by. He'd rather have Trump for president by default so he's conscious will be clear and also he's an independent and doesn't want to vote Dem. Bernie switched to Democrat because he wouldn't have a chance but Bernie bros...no logic.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh, so the whole fit I had last week, where my insurance was insisting getting documentation from my doctor explaining why I took more pills than the usual dose? After all of that, they sent me precisely the usual dose, so I'm missing basically a third of my pills.

Dana, our insurance refuses to cover the Ritalin dose Tim's doctor prescribed, even with a letter from the doctor. So insurance covers about 3/4 (with a stupid high copay for a generic, Humana you suck), and then Tim pays out of pocket for the other 1/4.

They actually sent me a letter saying that the "exception" had been approved for a year.

brillig

I was venting about this sort of thing to a pharmacist once, wondering why insurance companies do this. He said, "Well, to be honest, they're hoping you die before you need to refill the prescription." I laughed bitterly and agreed with him, but oddly enough I never saw him at that pharmacy again. I hope he retired or soon after went to his boss and quit operatically.

Now that's just silly. They are way, way different. She has a woman card to start with.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'm gently arguing with the Bernie Bros on my friendslist to point out how much Sanders and his supporters have pulled Clinton to the Left during the election cycle.

At this point I really don't care when Clinton signed on to my side of various issues, given that her opponent is still on the opposite side drumming up racism, homophobia, and misogyny.

Ha! I emailed my mom for sympathy about my dad (because she had to live with it for 14 years), and she replied "Oh sweetie, shut him down fast when he does that. I wanted to punch him in the mouth every time he used 'female' as a noun."
