I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, hey, if have to drive down to Livermore to pick up my new cat (who is allegedly Maine Coon, but not enormous, so who knows what that means) that might be a good opportunity for me to listen to this Hamilton thing...is there a recommended recording or whatever?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

-t, you can stream it free on most services. If you use Amazon Prime, you should download it or put it into a playlist because there's a bug in the song order when streaming.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

How long is the drive? Because you may want to stop partway through Act 2 if you're the one driving, and listen to the rest at home.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Yeah, LMM will have plenty of awards. Best Musical, Best Book, Best Score. Though I do wonder if maybe there will be one that people push back on, just to make it not a complete steamroll, and Best Book seems the most likely for that. Again, I haven't seen Shuffle Along, but maybe that could be a contender.

Wasn't there some study about not expecting anyone to functionally brain before 10am or something? I dunno but I feel like I read about it here at b.org.

I don't know about a study, but I have remarked here that once we went to a strict 9am start time my employer started paying me for getting nothing done beyond drinking coffee in my first hour, and lost the productive hour I would have been working from 5:30 to 6:30pm or so.

I am so doomed next week. I'll be at the Ottawa office, and we've got 9am meetings the whole time. My body will think it's 6am, which is effectively the middle of the night for me and my sleep phase displacement disorder. I'm trying to shift my sleep schedule this week, but damn, it's difficult.

It's about an hour each way.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Forget being a dog or whatever, in cyberspace no one knows you're still in bed.

delurking from Ottawa to wave...and commiserate. My boss recently made me start coming in at 9 instead of 9:30. Fortunately his office is far away and he hasn't seen me creep in at 9:15 because I just can't get it together.

Jilli, if you would like any info on dining or attractions in Ottawa from a local feel free to send me an e-mail at my profile addy (umm, once I go make sure there's an e-mail address in there, which I will do right now).

Oooh, thank you! As soon as I know my work meeting schedule, I will take you up on that. (I suspect I'm going to have a lot of dinner meetings, in addition to office meetings.)
