What? I'm not allowed to hit people? Wesley: Not people capable of genocide. Angel: Those are exactly the types of people I should be allowed to hit!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Jesse, are you in a position to say, "Since they're already working on the house, can I pay for the other windows?" even if it has to be on the installment basis? Because she'll get a better deal doing them all at once and having any windows that haven't been upgraded kind of negates the energy-efficiency aspects.

(A lot more stuff went on since I last refreshed. Oops.)

Evacuated, Steph! After all this, they might as well release the tape. I would feel like rioting out of sheer anticipation.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oy.

Glad they smartened up on the video but this still looks very very scary.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

If the video is as bad as it sounds, and there's no indictment, I don't even want to think about what will happen. I just keep assuming there will be an indictment, which might be naive as hell.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

And now police are going door to door in the neighborhood where UC is located, advising residents to leave. WHAT THE HELL.

What? Wow.

I would feel like rioting out of sheer anticipation.

Right? I mean, if they are expecting it that much. Damn.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, why are they doing all that if they expect an indictment?

Holy crap, Steph, that's incredible. I hope people can stay safe.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Well, that should keep everybody calm. @@

Seriously. Trying not to get caught by surprise is one thing, but this sounds like they are already making it worse.

Super scary.

WTF, Teppy? Oh, city.

Wow, that's pretty scary sounding. And certainly can't be helping matters any!! And I'd be a little afraid to leave my house in those circumstances--if all the houses are empty, less incentive for anyone to NOT bust in some windows?

Burrell, thanks! I think some of the problem is I am in a bad position of being not a super beginner, and not (yet?) really good at it. It's hard dance, and sometimes the more you know that you don't know...much like starting a job and not feeling overwhelmed until a few months in.

Annoying: the cream in my iced coffee this morning was bad. I only had one sip, then was watering the lawn, and then glanced at the glass and went "oh, that looks gross". Boo, don't want to have to leave the house for caffeine!!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

And now police are going door to door in the neighborhood where UC is located, advising residents to leave. WHAT THE HELL.

That probably includes where I lived. I wouldn't have had anywhere else to go at that point in time.
