I don't care if it is an orgy of death, there's still such a thing as a napkin.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Impressive meara, Becky!

Suzi, I'm glad the event went well, and generated knowledge and interest, even if not the funds that were hoped for. I hope you're all toasty and happy today.

sara, oh no. Are your cats *inside* the walls? That's..not good. Break out the stinky fish, right?

Our temps are in the 60s today and sunny. We're planning a drive in the AC'd car up to Diablo and Newhalem tomorrow, when they're supposed to hit 80 and up. Cloudy and back to high 50s on Tuesday--what? All the flowers and plants are in, and the weavils are having nightly picnics. All the alyssum flowers are gone, and even some of the herbs. H is mixing up an organic herbal spray for the plants, and taking advantage of tomorrow's temps to add nematodes to the soil in the pots and planters, and hope the larvae die a quick and oblivious death.

Meanwhile, ibu wasn't touching the pain today, so I'm wearing the light elastic sleeve on my hand and wrist. Psoriasis is such a balancing act: the support and compression the joint needs, without cutting off air and causing the skin to sweat under the sleeve, which causes breakouts. And thus the fun cyclic misery ensues.

But I have string cheese, which is happy-making, and fresh smoked turkey and dark green lettuce and provolone, to be layered with yogurt and horseradish sauce on toasted multi-grain bread for lunch, and (okay, frozen, but still yum) key lime pie for dessert. I'll chew on a root for supper, but lunch is about to be delightful.

Steph how is your brother doing? If they are looking to stay in Boulder/Superior area the perfect time to look for a new place is right before the semester ends.

My brother is doing really well, thanks for asking! And they put a bid on a house just today (I can't remember where it is, but he said half an hour or so east of Boulder).

Massage done. I am a noodle.

Meanwhile preliminary numbers are in...we grossed about $1,500 less than last year which is utterly amaxing. We worked hard to cut costs and get sponsorships , so I'm actually hopeful that our net night exceed last year.

Becky and all, thanks for the kind words.

Another bonus...no anxiety attacks yesterday!!!

Okay, I have the Fitbit set up, and apparently I slept very efficiently last night. And I have to be realistic here, so my goal for number of steps per day is 5,000. I'd like to increase that at some point, but I think if I keep it at 10,000 right now, I'll just be super depressed and hate myself for how short I fall of that goal.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Thanks for the suggestions, Kat and Matt.

Coming to see me?

Of course! I'm looking at the 1st week of August, FYI.

Getting a pedicure and the TVs are set to Nascar and basketball. I convinced CJ to get his first pedicure. He wasn't thrillEd with the idea but he called his girlfriend and she said he should. Will be interested in his reaction when we are done.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm watching the HBO movie about the Clarence Thomas hearings, and it is harrowing. But I'm really enjoying seeing all my favorite 90s news people! I used to watch a lot of news/political shows in the 90s.
