Ugh slept through two alarms and woke up at 9:30 this morning. (Thanks Obama Night-time Theraflu!)
Luckily(?) the manuscript containing the next round of art I needed to do hasn't been released yet. On the morning of the third of three days we were given to get these lessons done. So no harm done by my Rip van Winkle act, and maybe the extra rest will carry me through this evening.

In I love my job news...remember the last few weeks of my fussing over all the hurry up and wait and the mass amount of work that was coming in? We are now on the other side of getting everything set-up. There is still a ton to do in performing the work, but we are now in position to do just that.
Today I got a message from my manager than I'm receiving a Reward and Recognition. The write up that came with it was so nice. I have worked with the PM on this project for over 20 years, so we have a good relationship anyway. Part of it included "I am so impressed with Suzi's ability to keep on top of all of the details, anticipate needs all while keeping a sense of humor. There were new hurdles each day and Suzi kept plowing through them. Thank you, Suzi!"
I'm feeling especially happy today.

You guys, I'm sure I had comments on all of the rest of the previous however many messages, but I have just for the first time really interacted with our fucked up healthcare system. Remember when I had that cyst in my breast? That is costing me $650! Granted, without insurance, it would have been like $1800, but STILL. That just feel like a lot of money out of pocket when I have good insurance. Apparently I have a $1000 annual deductible, so now I'm hoping something else goes wrong this year?
Edit: Oh ha ha I didn't even wonder how much the IUD would be, so maybe that will be the other $350....

Yeah, I've basically only ever had preventative care, so that's what I based my insurance decision on. (My job has a zillion plans you can choose from, so I feel even more like I brought this on myself.)
