Don't know about your mom's situation other than what you shared. I want to replace all my windows but can only afford 6 windows and 1 patio door right now - leaving 3 windows to do when I can afford another chunk of money. Windows are expensive, yo.
I hear that, I do. But she's retired -- she'll never have more money than she does right now.
I should have known that dating someone in my building where everyone knows each other would lead to drama. Tim the maintenace guy is good friends with Anna, and he hates the fact that Anna and I are hanging out together. He's said some terrible things to Anna, and he keeps trying to discourage me from seeing her. And it's not as if he's in love with her, as he has a big crush on the woman below me. Which is another weird story.
eta: I want to say to him, "Dude, she's 58. She's old enough not to need a chaperone."
Timelies all!
Tired. (No real surprise there, as little guy was screaming for no reason at 4 am.)
Aw, poor little guy, hard to communicate. (and poot parents, of course)
That's all kinds of weird, tommyrot. Sorry there's drama, but it probably was inevitable. At least it's not actually between you two drama.
I was actually coming in to say - I picked the wrong day to swing by Starbucks. It usually takes me 5-10 minutes to get to work, and detouring to get coffee adds another 10 minutes. Today it took upwards of half an hour! A red light was not fully operational and Hwy 12 got backed up in the crucial couple of miles I was on it. Could have avoided it if Wze had alerted me just a little sooner, but no such luck.
Glad I am not stuck in traffic every day.
Dang, you guys. University of Cincinnati has cancelled all classes (including the med school) and is closing all offices today after 11:00 a.m., in anticipation of the grand jury's ruling. I don't think UC would close unless they were told the ruling would happen today.
And also, the county prosecutor (that giant bag of dicks) is holding a press conference at 1:00 p.m., so, again, I think that's a sign that we're getting a ruling today.
Yikes.
However! I was at the grocery store this morning and found gluten-free Multigrain Cheerios, which have always been my favorite of the Cheerios. I ate them all the time before I went gluten-free. I am about to have a nice big bowl of them with strawberries.
Teppy, all the ~ma for your city. And also, yay, on the cherrios because sometimes it's the little things.
Vibes to everyone in Cincinnati, stay safe, city!
sleep up, sarameg
and meara, sending you hugs. I hear an echo in the way you describe yourself as a dancer from the way you used to describe your dating. And neither lines up with how I see you, which is gorgeous, sexy, and pretty dang fearless in going after life. Are you perhaps drawn to the people who play coy and non-committal?
