Librarian Warlord

I went to 6 a.m. Bikram yoga this morning, because I there are two parties at the end of the workday for people who are escaping to new jobs, and I won't be able to get there tonight. At least I won't feel so guilty if there is cake. (There had better be cake.)

Oh honey, the mentally unwell people have been in the fanbase since Game Changers was Stucky fanfiction on the internet. The calls have been coming from inside the house the whole time!

What do you think would be the greatest superhero banter-off?

Spider-Man (Peter Parker version) vs. Beast Boy?

Ugh, I hate coming down with a headcold just as a major deadline crunch is hitting. Not sick enough to stay home sick, just enough to be uncomfortable and working much slower than I need to be.

6am bikram? Dang, that's dedication.

I was up too late and apparently had too much to drink, though I didn't feel it--am exhausted and headachey this morning. Booooo

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Randomly, I was just saying I want to go to the Azores, and now there's a deal email in my inbox! Flights and a week at a nice hotel for $800/person! Dag.

...anyone want to go to the Azores??

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Mmm, that sounds nice. But as great a deal as that sounds like it's still $800 I shouldn't be spending.

I have virtually no idea who's quippy. That seems like something I should have at least a passing acquaintance with.

When I think of quippy, I think of Spider-Man, Buffy, and Deadpool.

I would like to go to the Azores, but I suspect that it would be more than $800 for me...

True -- it would be $800+airfare to Boston. Which is true of most of you people, actually.

The Kimpton rewards dealie gives you access to wifi without paying for it (apropos of an earlier conversation), AND you get $10 to either eat an overpriced Snickers from the honor bar *or* towards your bar tab. So I'm going to have to get a snooty cocktail later.

Or maybe the overpriced Snickers. We'll see. But for now I have about 20 minutes to chill out before 4 hours of meetings that I'm sorely afraid will be stuff I already know (the session is titled "Word Tips For Editors"). But hey, if they want to pay to fly me out here and put me up in a Kimpton to show me Word stuff I already know, that's their call.

Welp, my brain is not functioning today:

I left the house in ballet shoes and no socks, and it's been snowing. I accidentally left a tip for $26.60 on a $10 lunch. (The cashier caught it and reimburse me.) Then I accidentally deleted almost all of my library holds.

I have about a half dozen work things to send to people for approvals, but I am certain I am going to screw them up, so I am leaving them for Monday.
