Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oy, Dana. The other day, I went into the bathroom to take some advil, poured a cup of water, and.... brushed my teeth. Because that's usually how that routine goes. But it was not what I meant to do! Oh auto-pilot, you are so useful in the morning.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I went through the motions of putting it in my mouth and taking a drink and swallowing, but I literally have no idea if I actually took the pill. It's not on the floor, so I didn't drop it. Did I...think I took it out of the bottle but didn't? No idea. I'm apparently losing the ability to human.

That happens to me not infrequently. And when I try to go back through the steps, well, I've taken pills so often that maybe I'm remembering a different time. So then at that point I just decide to wait until the next dose comes along and take it. (And then I get paranoid and start writing it down after I've taken meds: "Ibuprofen: 1:30 / 7:30 / etc.")

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Yeah, I toyed with the idea of taking another pill (or possibly the first pill), but it's not worth it. If I was in more pain, maybe.

brillig

I'd be lost without my pill caddy. Even then, I'll look at the empty compartment and not remember taking them, or remember taking them but the compartment's still full and maybe I'm remembering taking them yesterday.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am continuing to do work and no one at work seems to recognize my great achievement!

I could fall asleep right now if the lights were off.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who sometimes forgets whether I've taken a pill immediately after allegedly swallowing it.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yeah, counting the pills in the pill caddy is extremely useful. Speaking of, time to take one...

I can't get my under desk elliptical to work. Boo.

hip deep in pie

I often can't remember if I took pills or not. And if I am sick/in pain, that only increases the confusion.

Okay, not getting up from the computer worked in my favor, because a messy work thing popped up that I sort of caused, and I was around to sort it out. But now I'm going to run all those errands/do laundry/eventually take a walk.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

My morning routine sees me taking BP meds and antidepressants on autopilot the very first thing after I get out of bed, so if I have an empty glass of water I know that's taken care of.

Cholesterol meds that I take before bed are chancy, but as the least vital of my prescriptions I don't really sweat it if I miss a dose. It's a long-term preventative, so a few skipped days aren't going to have any real effect.
