How did your brain even learn human speech? I'm just so curious.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Dennis Hastert is awful and I cannot believe the way that story just disappeared from the news! He's as bad as Cosby, why did we get weeks of coverage of Cosby's fall from grace and like two stories on Hastert?

It took decades for Cosby's accusers to get traction in the media and they only did because a male comedian mentioned them in a set and social media took notice. It helped (for values of helped that = "story couldn't continue to be buried") that some of the victims who stepped forward were famous and couldn't be brushed away with the notion that they were fame-seeking liars.

Also, more people know who Cosby is than Hastert and, therefore, more people care, which is fucked up and says a sad amount about our media.

brillig

Hastert wasn't America's Dad, either.

edit: The Castle episode about the dead beauty queen was a pretty obvious dig at Cosby, too. The host of the beauty pageant was the star of the most popular family comedy, and Castle said he learned a lot about parenting from the show. The star turned out to be a fairly appalling womanizer.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just realized that Dennis Hastert is not Dennis Haysbert. I like Dennis Haysbert, so I am happy to find out he is not a child molester.

"You're still in good hands."

OMG, that made me snort.

Denny Hastert was already out of the public eye, is I think the main thing.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Thanks for the ~ma. He got the job. It is seasonal at a nursery - they just want muscle moving stuff from here to there. Who knows how long it will last, but it is better than nothing. Now he just needs to get the car. He has the money and needs to have his shop check out the car. The job is to pay for gas and insurance. Progress, bit by bit.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Very good, Suzi.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Yay CJ! And Suzi too, of course.

So, I was too mad to be productive at work-work, so I thought I'd take a break and watch Sleepy Hollow.

At least it's a different kind of aggravation.

I'm sorry, Gud, that sounds awful.
