Access to the wifi was part of the casino's Resort Fee, which covered the pool and spa and all that. And the spa had additional fees. But I understand that in Vegas, they're after every dollar, so I don't begrudge them. I just don't use anything else that requires a fee.

Sounds about right. When he was around 6 my son started wanting to use the men's room all the time, except he often felt nervous going in there by himself so he wanted me to come too. Er.... so we usually tried to find a family restroom, or he came into the women's, or he sucked it up and went into the men's. It wasn't until he was 7 that he felt comfortable going in by himself.

Yeah, that probably has something to do with it, although there also appears to be soil subsidence issues to complicate the matter. I don't know if that can properly be called seasonal. But I also suspect that the two forces are to some degree in opposition to each other.
