Ah, Nerd 101. I had to explain Rule 34 yesterday at work. That was high-larious.
How could they not know???
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I know! What are they teaching the youth of today?!
We were talking about the things you see when you have to review things for content problems. And a coworker who's been at my company a while said, "You know that rule..." And I nodded and said, "Oh yeah. Rule 34?"
And then we had to stop to explain it to the rest of the group.
Went to the optometrist down the street. I really liked everyone, so yay, I can keep going there. My prescription is basically the same, my left eye is slightly weaker. But I got my eyes dilated, so I'll be listening to playoffs hockey in the dark. Later on in the afternoon, I'll do the Umbridge Run 13K.
I just had to look it up. I knew the rule, but not the number.
What Aurelia said. I didn't know it was called that.
Unbridge Run 13k? That sounds like they will have cat plates and painful fountain pen scratches at the water stops!!
I should get shit done but what I really need to do is Marie Kondo my clothes, and I don't have the energy for it.
It's a Hogwarts Running Club virtual race, meara. The medal is pink with cats on it. Its official name is "The Final Inaugural 'I Must Not Tell Lies' Dolores Jane Umbridge Run 13k... Or Until It Sinks In."
I should Marie Kondo too.
Rules I know, what I don't know is what it means to Marie Kondo one's clothes. Is that when you fold them? Organize them? Or is it sorting and throwing stuff away? Oh, that reminds me, I should do laundry.
I am only dimly aware of who Marie Kondo is, but if she knew I existed, she'd weep in despair. I am THAT slovenly.
I kind of want to participate in that Umbridge run just for the awesome cat plate.
First two hours of the music festival were great, then it got hot, the wasps came out, and the jug band starting playing. But I know now to watch for the Zyndall Raney Band and Runaway Planet in the future.
On the plus side, fleeing the hat trick of Where'd My Pleasant Afternoon Go? gives me time to cool off at home and see a movie before dinner.
