Timelies all!

We've filed for an extension, as we are in the process of getting a social security number for the little guy.

Damnit, I can't find my sample ballot. I can always go online and print, but I have no idea what I did with it and I hate that.

Aaaand, found it. Right in the pile of "important" mail.

I am still so proud of myself for doing the tax stuff today. Like really a huge weight off. Therapist is going to be very pleased. I am supposed to be keeping a daily to do list with these big naggy things and a journal about the things I think I am not good enough about/at.

And because of course these things spiral just like bad things do, I came home and walked the dog for the 2nd day in a row. I also cleaned in the garage for about half an hour (got fully sweaty and out of breathe).

I have a work thing tomorrow from 8 - 12 and then the rest of the day at an outdoor concert event thingy, so I am not gonna stay up late tonight, just sitting down to the Tivo (2 weeks behind on most things) and dinner. WHOOT!

OMG. Ordered this protein snack thing off amazon--I've tried the one flavor and it's excellent, so ordered that again, and another flavor. The one box came, and I thought maybe the other box got lost or something...nope. Opened it up, and there was a 12-pack of servings of the one flavor (the one I already know I like)....and ONE TINY BAG (one serving) of the other flavor...a bag that expired IN JANUARY. The one tiny bag was $5 more than the 12-pack. No. Um, thanks amazon, I'll be returning that for a full refund oh yes I will.

Go, msbelle! I tend to have similar issues, run through a bunch until I hit a wall. Which is why I've still not got a roof estimate (they came, but didn't call me back) and still have holes in my walls and ceiling BUT I got that far. I'm hoping, if not next week, during the floating holiday I have to take before I switch contracts. Which I have too much work to take, but my mgmt is like FUCK WORK, TAKE IT, so...

TAKE THAT HOLIDAY SARAMEG

I should probably be mowing my lawn right, but by the time I got my shoes on and the mower out and everything there wouldn't be much light left. Maybe tomorrow morning before my 5k at the farm where my delivered vegetables grow. Or after, I should be home by 3pm and acclimated to being active outdoors...

I'm listening to the Blackhawks game and using the rest of my brain power reminding myself not to make awful noises or shout expletives because I'm surrounded by coworkers.

ARGH ARGH ARGH STOP IT WITH THE TURNOVERS WTF AT LEAST YOU'RE NOT GETTING TOO MANY MEN ON THE ICE PENALTIES ALL OVER THE PLACE.

Oh, I will. I had a frank talk with my soon-retiring coworker and stbex cswtfever supervisor, and one, she's really happy about the offers we got. Like really, really. She felt we were being chronically underpaid, but did as much as was able. Got some very helpful info on jwst stuff that I can definitely use. And she gave me scuttlebutt on how we're trying to bring over the one guy they couldn't (remote, in a state the new contract doesn't work in) and some of my branch boss's weaknesses that she's always actively countering and wants me to be armed to take up that fight.

It was intense, and then we had 5 hrs of interviews with 2 top candidates for a new archive scientist (her replacemended, except she can't be replaced) which also was intense.

Last few weeks have been like that. Lots of info, lots of work, lots of stretching my skills and experiences.
