Let my bitter experience light the way. And make some coffee.

What Steph said. That is some bullshit, speaking as someone who has woken up in the morning only to discover that I'd been thrown under the bus sometime in the night due to time zone issues.
That's very bullshit, Dana. Boo!!
I agree with the previous validators. Bullshit and bus throwing.
Thank you all.
It is done and turned in!
Keep your fingers crossed. We're pitching this thing at some big money (and I've got an equity stake in the project.)
Good Luck!
Best wishes for completing the project. And getting some sleep.
I saw the news reports about the hail. One guy, whose house had been pretty badly damaged, was being interviewed. At one point, there was a sound of breaking glass; he closed his eyes for a moment, opened them, sighed, and said that was more glass falling.
Good luck, Hecubus!
Did not want to get up this morning. I'm feeling a bit like it's all too much. OTOH, staying in bed isn't really an option: I have too much to do, between work & Dad. Spent half of yesterday on various calls with the hospice people. Argh.
And My Nemesis is badgering me for a thing which I haven't done, because if I have the option, the stuff for her gets ranked below stuff for people who, you know, treat me like decent human beings do.
Now off to write huge checks to the fed and the state to cover Dad's taxes. Oy.
{{{Consuela}}} You are a better woman than I when it comes to not staying in bed. I hope you can have some time to yourself for whatever the hell you want soon. And that Your Nemesis fucks off for a bit.
I'm sorry about the car accident, chrismg.
Hec, I'll join in the "that's soooooome, bullshit!" chorus.
Consuela, I hope everything stops jumping on you asap.
Today's a work-from-home day for me. I started it with a quick look at my checking account. Last week I'd stopped a monthly transfer from checking to my IRA (work's kicking in some matching $$ for their 401K, so I'm switching to that for now). Except, it turned out that the bank heard "stop the monthly transfer" as "change the monthly transfer to a daily transfer" which is the exact opposite of what I wanted, times 7. I called the bank and had the reassuring experience of watching the money get transferred back into my checking account in real time. But still, that was quite the wake-up experience.
