But that's just my point! You she obeys! She obeys you! There's obeying going on right under my nose!

brillig

I've got two months' income in easily accessible savings, and a decent 401K. Beyond that? Well, life's an adventure, they say.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

"Can you name the artists singing Hallelujah?" can be sung to the tune of Hallelujah. And now it's in my head.

I did something kinda dumb, and when I tried to delete it, I thought I was just deleting it for myself. I'm pretty sure I accidentally deleted it for everyone. I decided it was time for me to head home after I unfucked that.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh shrift, sounds like you need a good weekend

he's like my own personal cautionary tale

ha! I could see that

It turns out my form of trying to de-stress after a too long week is cooking a nice dinner. Somehow I think that's going about things the wrong way, but at least I'll eat well tonight? Roast chicken, rice, asparagus. I love it when artichoke and asparagus season arrives.

It wasn't a huge thing, but sleep deprivation definitely played a role. Oy.

I don't know, sometimes I find cooking therapeutic. Now I'm trying to figure out what I should make for dinner...

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'm in the process of eating the NY stip, salad, and parmesan noodles I fixed for dinner tonight.

My cats react whenever I cook by angrily tearing at their scratching pad. Yet if I try to actually feed them some of whatever meat is involved, they just sniff of it and then I find it later on the floor where they've played with it like a toy.

I'll be able to participate in JHU's credit union when I switch over, and I'll be moving the bulk of my savings over there. Staying with WF for checking as it just makes money transfers easier with my mortgage and family (I'm a signee on an account of theirs that also gives me access to their nonWFaccounts, so...)

I'm very conservative with my money. My only debts are the mortgage and car loan. I've had help and luck and let's face it, I pretty much hate shopping for most anything, so that works in my favor. I can credit the Great Depression for that; it inculcated certain mentalities that I inherited. Makes m a bit of a miser.

Speaking of mentalities and money, really loving the new $2.9k shutoff valves about now. Came home to the tub faucet dripping a lot. Turned hot and cold off at valves, then turned only one at a time. Hot water. Which is funny cause the cold is what you have to shut off hard. Gonna try to re-washer it myself this weekend, but hey, at least I already have a plumber if I fail! Figure it is a casualty of the new higher pressure, just blew a deteriorating washer.

But really?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm usually kind of torn between wanting to make sure I have savings, and wanting to travel and do other stuff like that, because I know that will get more difficult as I get older and my joint problems get worse. I've got a pretty good retirement fund, though, so that takes some of the worry out of what's in my actual savings account.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

It is too early to be up and moving this morning. I even woke up without my alarm, which is completely wrong.

What are y'all doing this weekend? I'm headed to do volunteer training and I have a massage tomorrow. That is the extent my scheduled activities. Also want to do some crafting and house cleaning.

My landline thinks I'm on an open line. I'm not. I think it might have something to do with Loki knocking one to the floor, but I can't hang up. But I still have dsl. So maybe something else. Another thing I don't want to deal with.
