Really hard to turn in signed offer when person it is supposed to go to has a Do Not Disturb- Telecon in Progress sign on the door ever since they got here.

I wish that polka-dotted dress weren't knit.

I may need an intervention when it comes to polka dots.

I got ANOTHER email about the kids' soccer team. This time it was to say that soccer practice tonight is cancelled because of bad weather.

The ONLY reason I replied is because I really would hate for a small child to be the only one to show up for practice in bad weather because their parent can't get their shit together and provide the correct email address to the soccer league. (Upon reflection, this *may* be related to some childhood issues of my own. Gah.)

The office cat let me pick her up and hold her in my lap for a while this morning. So in a week and a half she's grown to trust me more than the cats I've been taking care of over two years do.

I've been getting someone else's reminders to do some online reference check thing. I did write back, even though I assume that one person isn't the make or break on someone getting a job.
