Steph, my insurance changed AGAIN since my last dental appointment (and I've got to get the info before the next later this week) and in all probability, it will change again before my next after this (and I don't know if my dentist is on the potential new plan and have to take in the info to see at this appt, but I'm keeping my damn dentist even if we have to get creative) and I GET YOU on the timing. Even if my shit is much more minor, it's just too damned much juggling.

My South American friends have convinced me that I need to head out of the US for my dental work. The price difference is just insane, even with insurance. Neighbor 2 doors away just got back from staying with family in Peru to get his work done. With insurance here they wanted to still charge nearly $4000, so he went home and got the same stuff done for less than $400. And mini vacation with family. I'll probably just plan to visit a friend in Ecuador who can get it all arranged for me. I wouldn't rely on Google reviews, but I would trust people I've know for many years to hook me up with a good dentist.
That sounds like kind of an awesome plan, Laura! Even if it's a sad commentary on the US health system.
I just signed up for a "lullabye yoga" class that a friend has taken a bunch. And then after I signed up she was like "Actually, I'm worried if I know you're there it'll stress me out and this is what I do to combat my insomnia and can you cancel?" Except I signed up online and it won't let you cancel
I'm worried if I know you're there it'll stress me out
!!!!!! I think she needs more than yoga.
Yeah, she has some serious sleep/stress issues.
And so talking about my nutball insurance shenanigans wound me up so I went and pulled old dead telephone line from the second floor. My coping mechanisms, don't use them.
they're no longer going to offer our current plan
Buggering. I feel I should go kiss my HR department for their shenanigan-free insurance policies.
I really needed that swim tonight, damnit.
Seriously. Despite the ACA, one of the reasons I stay with my current job is the decent and stable health insurance. It's a bit pricey but worth it to be shenanigan-free. Insurance ~ma to everyone dealing with shenanigans.
One of my work friends invited me to a knitting night. Yay, being social!
