Zen, I bet you could find something at thrift store. I had too many casserole dishes, they are part of what I am selling.
Jilli - go you with the eBay. I put up 14 things yesterday.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Steph, is that the Sandra Bland case?
No, Samuel Dubose. Sandra Bland was in Texas.
Samuel Dubose was pulled over by a University of Cincinnati cop -- not even a city cop -- OFF CAMPUS, for missing a front license plate. And the campus cop fucking shot Dubose in the head while he sat in his car.
And the county prosecutor refuses to release the tape, because it's going to be really really ugly.
And I just read on Twitter than Dubose's family has hired George Zimmerman's defense attorney. Embrace the fucking irony. And yet, that tells me that this may turn into a clusterfuck of epic proportions.
One of the things I am thinking of putting up on eBay is something similar to what cult musician Emilie Autumn did. She sold her iPod. I'm thinking of selling my 1st gen Shuffle. It would be pre-loaded with three large playlists (Modern Victorian Vampires, Children of the Night, and Bitchcraft), and I'd autograph the back in permanent marker.
I'm just trying to decide if it's a good idea, or if it's too much don't you know who I think I am?
W.T.F. What is the point of having video cameras on the officers if the footage isn't allowed to be seen? It should be illegal for them to refuse to release it.
The county prosecutor says he'll release it after the grand jury rules. But Dubose's family hasn't even been allowed to see it. Why? I have to believe it's because it's going to show that the officer had zero justification for shooting Dubose.
And the thing is, this was a University of Cincinnati campus cop. The president of UC should legally be able to release that footage, but apparently the prosecutor has come down REALLY hard on the president and gotten him to sit on the footage.
I have such a bad feeling about this.
Hearing those circumstances, I can feel my objection to lynch mobs weakening.

For real. Dubose didn't even have a weapon of any kind in the car. What I've been reading on FB is that the officer tried to open Dubose's car door, and Dubose shut it. And the officer tried to open it again, and Dubose pulled it shut, and the officer fell to the ground and shot Dubose in the head.
FOR NOT HAVING A FRONT LICENSE PLATE.
Matt, the cops ARE the lynch mobs.
I saw something about that case. The campus cop part was what struck me. I didn't know campus police carried weapons, for one. The whole thing is awful.
And ALL of the local news channels and the newspaper have filed suit against the prosecutor to get him to release the footage. Last I heard (but it was on Twitter, so I don't know if it's true) is that CNN joined the lawsuit.
I think things might get really ugly here really soon.
You can (and maybe should) cook any beans with pork. Any preferences for color or size or whatever, casserole dish-wise? Here's some possibilities: [link] Or I can just pick up whatever appeals to me...(it will not cost anywhere close to the prices on the website. It might be as much as $10)
Ugh, that sounds bad, Tep.
Woo, Jilli!
