I finished writing performance reviews. Huzzah.
Remember to think about the early-stage stuff that you just do naturally now.
Yeah, good one. I have tried to be more cognizant of this and in general remember to ask, "Was that too deep in the weeds? Do you need me to explain this at a higher level?"
I make a point to tell new people to please stop me at any time to ask for an explanation, what that acronym means, or how to do anything, really. Like finding the shuttle schedule.
Huzzah on the performance review completion.
Budget finally acknowledged I have a car and they are extending the rental to Friday. I'm checked back into my hotel. The front desk guy even gave me the same room as he recognized my name. They are sold out tonight.
ugh storms, tornado warning for the next 30 min. local sirens going off. rain not even started. do I wake the child and make him move to hall?
Warning? Yeah, you probably should.
and now they've extended it an hour because the storm was moving fast and it slowed way down. hates it.
I woke him and told him he situation. if I hear any loudness, he will be dragged to hall.
Whereas in my family, when there were funnels a ridge line over in Jefferson county and the county sirens were going off, half of us were on the deck, watching... The sane half had dog on a leash, cats corralled and kids ready to hit basement. That was the woman my brother married. Who grew up with tornados.
My mom always sent me, my brother, and the dog to the basement and she would go stand on the porch. I'd have been there with her given the chance.
yeah, I am lying in the hall with the pets. I should go get the dog's leash, good call.
no funnels spotted that I have heard, I should maybe turn on a news stream.
it has all passed. going to bed with phones nearby.
If warning sirens go off I move to the bedroom where there are no windows (if I'm not already in there), but I've been living in tornado country far too long and been on the highway during too many passing storm fronts to be very worried. I've been outside and looked up to see clouds spinning as they passed over my house.
