One of my monsters was The Old Woman Who Hates Me, who would sit in a straight back chair in my head and glare at me. When I started to glare back, she began to shrivel away, unable to cope with me telling her that her opinion didn't matter.
ME TOO. She's my grandmother, who died 38 years ago and still won't shut up.
Secret Sister Tep! You fight crime, don't you?
My sidekick is THE LORD.
10/10 would watch
Questions I can ask my neighbors that remind me I landed in the right place because I wouldn't blink an eye to receive it and say yeah and I'm pretty confident I'll get the same response: can me & cats camp out at your house during the workday for a couple days while I get replumbed & and possibly use your internet in case mine gets knocked because the line is close to the work area?
Good idea, msbelle, maybe!
Aw, Malia, that's so great.
Poppy seed filling takes FOREVER. Jeesh. I'll just have to see how far I get tonight.
I won a free breakfast for 10 from Protein Bar so I'm feeding my crew in the morning. The drawback is that I need to go in early to pick up the food so we can eat before work starts. I'm so bad at mornings.
Sarameg, I wish I could do the drywall for you. I might actually find that soothing.
I won't even go to Lollapalooza where my shower is only 30-40 minutes away. Burning Man? No.
Secret Sister Teppy the Crime Fighting Nun would rock. Though it would have to a hypothetical order that allowed her to marry, because we need Tim.
How many times has he done "They call me--Tim!"
Guess I should have started these cookies Sunday. I think I need to get as far as grinding the simmered seeds before I go to bed, though. Rolling out and filling and baking tomorrow night. Being very tired, Thursday. Friday sleep in. That should work out okay.
Breakfast for 10, aurelia, sweet score! Too bad you can't get it delivered.
I think I can open up those seams, msbelle, thanks!
So many things in Natter today that I would like to respond to, but I've been working furiously since 7:30am. I just ended my last meeting a few minutes early because people in our Tokyo office punked out.
I won't even go to Lollapalooza where my shower is only 30-40 minutes away. Burning Man? No.
I watched a few minutes of a Burning Man documentary, and everything in me went, "NOPE NOPE NOPE."
I already participate in a gift economy with radical self expression. It's called fandom, and I get to do it where there's indoor plumbing.
Ugh, too busy for more than a drive-by post but wanted to add my support for a mom strike. I need to go on one of those too. MOMS UNITE!
I just completed a flurry of tasks, because I want to spend 22 minutes sitting on the couch in my pajamas drinking some rye and watching comedy before I go to bed even if I will regret it in the morning when my alarm goes off at 5:50.
I'm getting a new teammate tomorrow. I'm supposed to train and mentor her. Have I prepared? No. Have I had time to prepare? Not really.
How do you be a good mentor?
