I hope you don't think that I just come over for the spells and everything. I mean, I really like just talking and hanging out with you and stuff.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I might have to have a creamy pasta thing for lunch! Because lord knows I'm not cooking one at home in the summer.

And Liese's post makes me want to make my friend's starchy Midwestern Asian comfort food -- ground beef, rice, green beans, with lots of soy sauce. Maybe that will be dinner.

OH! I forgot the whole reason I came over here -- I was just emailed a photo of someone's computer screen, along with the question of if the document I sent her was a Word doc or a PDF.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

HAHAHA. Because you can tell from the aura.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Jeesh, Maria, yeah that sounds tiring!

Jaw still swollen but okay. I more than halfway wanted to call in sick today, but also figure that if this level of "sick" constitutes unable to work-ness, will I ever be well enough to come in? So here I am. Plus side, easier access to crushed ice at work than at home, so I can always have a fresh ice pack when I need one and not rely on the spinach not thawing out.

My mom used to make tuna casserole using those dried chow mein noodles, eliminating the boil pasta step. The inside ones would get noodly and the ones near the top maintained their crunch.

We used to have a thing like that made with pork (from I Hate to Cook) and my memories of it are of me making it, but Mom must have made it before that because I picked it as a dish I would learn to cook because I liked to eat it.

I have traditionally made tuna salad with no mayo, just mustard. Because I like mustard. A lot.

It turns out that when you spend a weekend doing nothing but adulting, you want to stab everyone in the face on Monday morning.

This may be the truthiest statement in the history of truthiness.

People are out sick and the moon has gone into foo. I'm just going to do what I can and try not to cry.

This person should pick one and take a picture of what happens!

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

That makes me want to stabinate. All. The. Things.

I'm probably not going to kill everyone.

I'll be your alibi if you'll be mine?

spaghetti with canned tuna in olive oil in a tomato sauce.

For us, it's a cold rice salad with tomatoes, potatoes, canned tuna in olive oil (or Simmenthal), marinated vegetables, eggs, onion, and peas. The longer it sits in the refrigerator, the better it tastes.
