I have a rousing evening of paper shredding to look forward to, but it will clean out a largish box I discovered in the living room. Soon it will be possible to walk all the way around the coffee table! And then--seating space on both sofas! Then, after some clearing of the floor and one more box . . .
The kitchen.

Sending recovery~ma to your father, lisah, and congrats to your mom
I am wearing green today because I love to wear green even on days when wearing green isn't a thing, but I don't have any investment in other people's wardrobe choices. Although I will say nice glasses, Matt!
Timelies all!
I am not wearing green today because a) Not even close to being Irish(my ancestry is mostly Russian on one side, and mostly Hungarian on the other) and b) I wore green earlier in the week. (Green is one of the colors that look good on me, but so is red, purple and blue)
I don't have any reason to think I am at all Irish, but I can't rule it out. I have a lot of ancestors, after all, and they moved around and married outside their birth cultures a lot. Could be anything in that family tree.
Someone just asked me if I know anything about "Project Shield" that apparently my work is doing. I was like "ARE THERE AVENGERS?!?!?!?"
I swear I would have muttered Hail Hydra as they left. You can put me in an office but you can't make me act professional.
Went to the eye doctor, and bifocals are in my future, but not yet. Since my distance vision is basically the same, I think I'm just going to get computer glasses for now and keep the main ones the same. That feels awkward, but we'll see. For now, my eyes are all dilated, so I can barely see the computer screen....

I don't know if I could actually bring myself to say that out loud!
I have computer glasses and I like them! definitely makes a difference for that in between distance. I am doing okay with just taking off my glasses for close up seeing and reading.
Start throwing out the occasional "On your left", Jesse. Maybe don't bring up Tahiti.
Who the fuck designs a web based app that allows you to paste image data, but doesn't actually save it to the server? And displays it as long as you're in that login session, so you think it's been saved? What the fucking fuck?!?
And. AND! Instead, you have to upload the individual files to another location through a multi-step process (and no batch mode) and the go "discover" it in the app. And it only takes .png. And of course, my image grabber in .tiff. So first I have to go remake all the goddamned images, convert (at least a batch mode for that) then waste my goddamned time loading them, then go link to them.
testlink is a piece of shit.
I hate everything.
(I know that's all gibberish, but I spent most of today trying not to scream at the computer and actually banging my head on the desk.)
