Glad to hear it, Consuela!
Never speak about dates, is what I'm getting there, Steph.
I was just having a crabby conversation at work -- apparently all of my friends in every department are burnt out today -- when everything turned around because there was Fresca in the vending machine!!!! I wonder if it's always been there and I just didn't notice?? I FLOVE FRESCA!!!
Yay benign, Consuela!
Steph, they're just screwing with you now.
I also love Fresca. And it's no-calorie, if I recall correctly.
My day is not going well. Work is a clusterfuck and I think my friend is mad at me for dropping out of her Tai Chi class. I just can't get to a class at a place and time that requires me to leave work an hour and a half early. I should have thought about the distance when I signed up, of course, and I admitted that, but mea culpa, I still can't do it. I'm probably going to be working quite late tonight as it is. Taking two hours or more off in the afternoon isn't reasonable.
Fresca!
The date thing makes perfect sense. If the study was conducted 3 or more years ago it's old news, who cares what the date was? And if it was within the last three years, we should no doubt know the date without being told, it's so fresh.
That's too bad, Zen. Your friend will get over her disappointment, and maybe schedule a class that you
can
get to sometime in the future.
I think we could all use this.
they likewise think all liberals are fools who are blindly accepting the "lies" their leaders hand them
The conservatives I know who are saying things like this are the worst offenders of swallowing the lies.
I don't have anything against Conservative thought, really, but I take offense when I'm accused of being naive by people who, when pressed to cite the logic/rationale for their arguments say, "Because he said so. It's just true!"
CongratuWelldone Consuela. I'm so happy for your news!
And it's no-calorie, if I recall correctly.
No calories and no caffeine, two of my favorite qualities in a drink!
I read some economics theory that says it's not in most people's interests (economically speaking) to be well-informed about politics. I don't remember the details.
It's a pretty simple cost-benefit analysis, I think. It takes a fair amount of effort to stay informed, but one's individual vote has next to no chance of making any difference. It's essentially a free rider problem.
Woo hoo, 'suela! That's great news.
flea, I'm sorry for you personally/professionally, and everyone's lives he's affected. It's terrible and hard, and I wish we all could be better humans.
bonny, much ~ma to you. I'm glad the news has been initially good.
Not thinking about, engaging with, or making any public statement about the primaries right now. I'm not going to convince anyone, so all I can do is stick to my guns and vote for the candidate I feel will do the job best.
I love Fresca too. Be aware that it has grapefruit juice in it so there may be med interactions. Same with SunDrop and Ting.
